Connie Talbot Has Got It, June 4, 2008
You will often hear American Idol Judge Simon Cowell say, in reference to a contestant's singing skills, "Either you've got it, or you don't." Most singer's have to practice daily and be coached by professionals so they can imitate what a truly great singer sounds like. When Simon Cowell judged Connie Talbot's tryout on Britain's Got Talent, the obviously floored music producer asked then 6 year old Connie, "Is that really you singing?" Amazingly, the pitch perfect voice that you could not only hear but also feel did in fact come from the little school girl with the two missing front teeth. Connie became Britain's sweetheart and went on to win Britain's Got Talent 2007. Connie's first album was released after Thanksgiving and was loosely themed for the Christmas Holiday by including "White Christmas", "Silent Night", 'The Sound Of Music's' "Favourite Things" and Connie on the front cover still sporting the toothless grin next to a tree surrounded by presents. A later version of the same album was released but minus the Christmas tunes. The rest of the album includes studio versions of songs Connie sang during the BGT competition. The music production perfectly matches and accentuates Connie's gift while the song selection seems to aim for classic "songbook" standards, each with an already-established-definitive-version (Over The Rainbow - Judy Garland, Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong). The true highlight of this album is Connie's take on Dolly Parton's poignant "I Will Always Love You". Here, Connie's vocals soar well past her years and leaves you wondering, "If this little angel can sing like this now, what will she be able to do when she gets her wings?"

Impressive, December 4, 2007
Search YouTube for Connie Talbot and see her in action. Impressive little girl. It's too bad Amazon is charging so much for her album. iTunes has it a lot cheaper. I bought it for my daughter because it is easy to sing along with, and Connie sing well.

You won't regret buying this one!!!!, December 6, 2007
Maybe only once in your lifetime to you hear a God given, untouched by others, untainted, in it's purest form, talent. This little one has it. Here is a little 6 year old girl, who taught herself to sing. I don't know why but this little girl's singing can't help but tough your heart, put a smile on your face and maybe a little tear in your eye.
