5.0 out of 5 stars Connie Talbot Has Got It
You will often hear American Idol Judge Simon Cowell say, in reference to a contestant's singing skills, "Either you've got it, or you don't." 3.0 out of 5 stars Future Star?
Yes, a lovely young voice; but still a "young" voice. Cuteness will carry only so far. I don't regret the purchase, but I think will wait a while before trying this young lady again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Connie Talbot Has Got It, June 4, 2008
You will often hear American Idol Judge Simon Cowell say, in reference to a contestant's singing skills, "Either you've got it, or you don't." Most singer's have to practice daily and be coached by professionals so they can imitate what a truly great singer sounds like. When Simon Cowell judged Connie Talbot's tryout on Britain's Got Talent, the obviously floored music producer asked then 6 year old Connie, "Is that really you singing?" Amazingly, the pitch perfect voice that you could not only hear but also feel did in fact come from the little school girl with the two missing front teeth. Connie became Britain's sweetheart and went on to win Britain's Got Talent 2007. Connie's first album was released after Thanksgiving and was loosely themed for the Christmas Holiday by including "White Christmas", "Silent Night", 'The Sound Of Music's' "Favourite Things" and Connie on the front cover still sporting the toothless grin next to a tree surrounded by presents. A later version of the same album was released but minus the Christmas tunes. The rest of the album includes studio versions of songs Connie sang during the BGT competition. The music production perfectly matches and accentuates Connie's gift while the song selection seems to aim for classic "songbook" standards, each with an already-established-definitive-version (Over The Rainbow - Judy Garland, Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong). The true highlight of this album is Connie's take on Dolly Parton's poignant "I Will Always Love You". Here, Connie's vocals soar well past her years and leaves you wondering, "If this little angel can sing like this now, what will she be able to do when she gets her wings?"

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive, December 4, 2007

Search YouTube for Connie Talbot and see her in action. Impressive little girl. It's too bad Amazon is charging so much for her album. iTunes has it a lot cheaper. I bought it for my daughter because it is easy to sing along with, and Connie sing well.

5.0 out of 5 stars You won't regret buying this one!!!!, December 6, 2007

Maybe only once in your lifetime to you hear a God given, untouched by others, untainted, in it's purest form, talent. This little one has it. Here is a little 6 year old girl, who taught herself to sing. I don't know why but this little girl's singing can't help but tough your heart, put a smile on your face and maybe a little tear in your eye.

5.0 out of 5 stars Once in a lifetime!, January 12, 2008
Over the Rainbow An angel like this comes along only once in a lifetime. Sounds to sooth the savage beast! This very young girl knows what she wants to do and how to do it and does it very well. So far, and I hope her parents keep it that way, she seems to be unscathed by the music industry and pure to the heart. A pleasure to watch and listen to. Every time I hear her sing, regardless of the scenario, there is no background noise. Everyone is listening! Absolutely amazing. Made Simon Cowell smile. Way to go, Connie!

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL CD-MUST HAVE, December 20, 2007
I LOVE CONNIE ON YOUTUBE AND MYSPACE BUT CD WAS EVEN BETTER. BEING ABLE TO PLAY ON BETTER EQUIPMENT MADE THIS A MUST HAVE FOR CHRISTMAS. THE PURITY OF HER VOICE COMES THROUGH SO MUCH BETTER AND SHE MANAGES TO PUT HER PERSONALITY IN EACH SONG. I BOUGHT ON YAHOO MUSIC FOR MUCH CHEAPER AND THEN BURNED THE CD (THEY ALLOW YOU TO DO THAT) AND YOU HAVE RIGHT AWAY INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR IT TO ARRIVE. WAY TO GO CONNIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this CD, December 17, 2007
Connie Talbot is an angel with the sweetest singing voice. I love love love this CD. I highly recommend it but please do not spend $32 that Amazon is charging. I paid $10 and downloaded from Yahoo music---what a great deal. I don;t know why Amazon charges so much--but thats just absurd for one CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Connie Talbot - six year old sensation, May 30, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you have not heard this little girl sing you just can't imagine that she is so young. First time I heard her I couldn't help crying as her voice is so beautiful. It will be very interesting to see how much she will progress as she gets older. She is just amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most uplifting songs from a child that I have ever heard, May 25, 2008
I have watched and listened to all of the available music by Connie over the past several months. I highly recommend the music of Connie Talbot. First of all, the music in particularly Connie's voice makes the listener want to absorb every note. Be prepared for the experience of hearing a child sing in such a way that you will not easily forget. A happy, peaceful, inspiring, and thrilling pleasure will overcome your senses with each note that fills your mind. Now at only the young age of seven years Connie has won the respect and the admiration of many joyful listeners world wide. Her voice is a child's voice, not an adults voice, but it is a voice that is full, unblemished and energetic. She is a gifted child artist that deserves to be recognized for her musical talent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Is she a re-incarnation of Nannerl?., December 22, 2009
This review is from: Over the Rainbow (Audio CD)
Is she a re-incarnation of Nannerl Mozart? I discovered Connie on Youtube while I was looking back on the Susan Boyle and Paul Potts auditions from Britain's Got Talent.Connie does not do herself as much justice in those auditions as the other two do but that became totally irrelevant when I heard a couple of her Youtube performances. She is probably, pound for pound, the best singer of the three, while I would have to acknowledge the difficult arena that Paul Potts has chosen and also how well Susan Boyle does what she does. I am particularly blown away by Connie's version of "You Raise Me Up" and have to add that it was always a song that I disliked until I heard Connie's soul engaging with it -yes that's how I feel about it! there is something coming through this little girl singing this song that other people might try to attach words to -to me it is nameless and startling, robs me of doubt and almost turns me from an atheist to a believer, but like Amanda Holden I still try to be strong. People of today are inclined to say "Connie Rocks" -I would rather say "Connie Sings." She is compared on Youtube to other child singers and while her competitors are extraordinary little talented people I think that Connie is ahead of them simply because of her accurate pitch, to which Simon Cowell refers at the end of her first BGT, and he also referred to how she interprets her songs -"you change it around. " The way she sings the words "stand on mountains" is masterly. Isn't that a strange term to use about a seven year old? Another even stranger thing I wil say is that she reminds me of Nat King Cole!("Smile though your heart is breaking.") All this is down to her innate musicality - and so recently innate. Please keep singing, Connie, you're the best since Nat and Ella!
