I ran into "Autumn Leaves" on You Tube and was just, blown away. I wondered, "Who is this? Where did she come from? Why haven't I heard of her, seen her before?!!" Google gave me some sad answers... died before she ever realized great success. Now, 8 million CD's and counting! People say she's selling because of the sad "backstory." Total BS. She has as an extraordinary voice, and extraordinary interpretations of songs that make you hear them again for the first time. Wish I could give TEN stars. Wish she was still with us.

Eva Cassidy turns "Over the Rainbow" into a touchstone that makes me hear anew a song almost ignored by me for decades. I almost want to touch the music: an unmatched emotional palette.

Beautiful, beautiful version of this classic song. What a stunning voice had Eva Cassidy. Such a shame she is no longer with us.
