Green Bay Packer fans will love this book!, July 25, 2006

"Over Time"- by Brian Hill and Dee Power
Take a field trip into the world of high finance and football. While these two subjects seem to be a strange mix: the people who are movers and shakers in both games are frequently the same.
The story is as diverse as Green Bay, Wisconsin and Scottsdale, Arizona. Characters created by Brian Hill and Dee Power take us on a journey from a fateful night in 1967 through a period of twenty years, and leaves us applauding for the small group of friends who play the toughest game of their lives.
Dan took over the family business, and created a successful corporation of faithful and appreciative employees. Mike is an attorney who works for his friend Dan, and wants a woman he thinks he can never have. Kellys' business has survived on the kindness of many, but even the generosity of newfound friends cannot hold it together. Their friend Mark had dreamed of playing for the Green Bay Packers, but his untimely death ended that dream.
The arrival of a letter, lost for twenty years, reunites the friends with answers to questions about what had really happened the night Mark died. When Dan's company is raided and he is forced to search for ways to get it back, the friends team up in the struggle. The battle for the corporation in Arizona plays out on a snowy football field in Wisconsin. At the end of the game, you'll be glad you stayed to see whether, or not, it went into overtime!
Well-written and timely, I recommend this book.

Business Thriller with a Football Edge, July 7, 2009
This review is from: Over Time (Paperback)
This book is a business thriller. But, a major subplot involves the Green Bay Packers and all of the history that goes along with the Pack. If you are a football fan - especially if you're a hard core Green Bay fan - this book's for you.
The pacing is excellent, the characters are well developed, and the plot is interesting.
I thought this was a really fun read. It would be a good "summer beach novel" and an even better fall "football season" novel!

Out of Time, January 11, 2007
This review is from: Over Time (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book. It reminded me of John Grisham's "Bleachers", but was a little more enjoyable because our family is enchanted with the Green Bay Packers. I would recommend it to anyone who is either fond of the Packers or John Grisham's non-mystery type books.
