"any type of large pack works fine, mine weighs roughly 65lbs, because i have GOOD food in ther not dryed beans. you dont want those. but you also want a good comfortable backpack. ive found mountainsmiths to be very reliable and comfortable."
"this is essential if you cannot find a good place to lay your head. like i said, a house is better than a hammock. because of damn hard it it to set up and take down."
"i use this as my main survival knife now, i decided to try it out(because it was gerber) and it was awesom! it has its own fire steel and its razor sharp and keeps its edge, the sheath is really nice to."
"please do not just buy this one. this is for the topic if your not huge into guns, compound bows are an awesome alternative, try and get a hoyt, there reaal nice. and practice practice practice! nice and silent to so you wont wake the whole neighborhood when something jumps at you. get carbon arrows too(or atleast when you get good enough)"
"by god these are the main investment. they cost so damn much! but there sooo good! ive seen people on shows say they'll bring like bags of rice and coast gaurd food. i've done that. it is the worst stuff in the world. and you need toooooons of water to sustain it and your dehydration after you eat it. these weigh more too :/ , but believe me it will be worth it."
"these are genious! they can filter up to 100x the amount as pumps. iodine.... ide get a bottle but wouldent use it unless this breaks, it makes your water taste aweful. get a pump to just in case"
"get these! keep them close to you! NAME THEM! believe me, when your nails get long enough it will be so painfull you'll want to die, then you remember you have these!"
"paracord is nice, but it costs alot and its to good wet, look into huge bundles of white plastic twine at like home depot. its amazing what it can do ."
"get a good belt, put a handgun, some mags and your knife on it. because if you have to ditch your bag and carry what you already have on you, you would have your gun knife and if its the knife above then a fire starter."
"not sure if your a shoe guy or boot guy(or gal) but get a nice comfortable pair that you could wear for up to 60 miles a day(kind of an exaggeration but you know what i mean), i have these and they are WONDERFUL! just dont twist your ankle."
"get this. if your anywere where there used to be people then there will be dead bodies. and dead stuff smells. bad. this blocks all stench and if the scenario involves a airbourne pathogen this is rated for diseas particles. wear this under neat it too. (next item down)"
"wear this underneath the respirator if there are diseases floating around. makes it kind of hard to breath but you wont get sick. try not to run hen doing that to. its hard to get alot of air"
