An Amazing First Album,

This is a terrific first album. For those not familiar with Alexandra Burke, she was the winner of the 2008 season of X-Factor, a British version of American Idol. Leona Lewis was the winner of the 2006 season.
Much as I love Leona, I actually enjoy Alexandra more. The tracks are mostly pop. Some are about love and rejection, but several are upbeat and affirming. Alexandra has a great range, with power in both the lower registers and the higher. It certainly doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous as well. If you want a preview, look up Alexandra Burke on YouTube. Then buy the album.
