Evil a Stronghold for Religions,
By Robert A. Burns "Pastor Bob" (Wyomissing, PA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Overcoming Evil in the Last Days Expanded Edition With Study Guide (Paperback)
Racism, The Stronghold of Witchcraft, The Religious Spirit are the three parts of this book that provide the'meat' for the Christian who wants to grow spiritually. I believe that this book should be read and studied in every Christian church. Small group leaders grab this book and learn how Christians can get free of the religious spirit. The chapters on racism and witchcraft are so important becuase of 'our day today', 'the hidden' ' and all that is to come'.
This book is full of Bible references for all of us to grow. Read about healing culutral wounds, victory over witchcraft, angels of light, etc.

This review is from: Overcoming Evil in the Last Days Expanded Edition With Study Guide (Paperback)
Wow! A real eye opener. Rick Joyner really illuminates the enemy's devices with observations and insight not readily found in other books on the subject. He examines subtle worldly behaviors being accepted and practiced by believers everywhere and causes us to ask ourselves; How can the Church (all of us!)show the world a better standard if we do not live it ourselves? This book will encourage self examination and will lead to repentance and ultimately the power that Christ promised every believer!

Overcoming Evil in the Last Days,
This review is from: Overcoming Evil in the Last Days Expanded Edition With Study Guide (Paperback)
This book and teaching will help you to allow the Holy Spirit to uncover the ways that evil tries to invade our lives. The author, Rick Joyner, identifies three strands of strongholds that the enemy uses to keep believers from moving forward into the plan that God intended for His people. The author states that the purpose of the book "is to shine light into darkness." The book did that for me.

Three World Spirit Rulers,
This review is from: Overcoming Evil in the Last Days Expanded Edition With Study Guide (Paperback)
The three fold cord of these three spirits revealed to me the truth I needed to know about. Now I have their names and how they work together to try to hinder God's plan for the Church as I walk in ministry.

Satan's Cord of Three Strands,
By
This review is from: Overcoming Evil in the Last Days Expanded Edition With Study Guide (Paperback)
Widely acclaimed author of the best selling series "Combating Spiritual Strongholds," Rick Joyner, is uniquely qualified to address the topics addressed in this expanded edition of "Overcoming Evil in the Last Days."
Joyner maintains that racism, witchcraft, and the religious spirit are the three most powerful evil strongholds at work in the world today. He challenges the reader to make radical life changes to overcome each of these three influences with specific instruction for combating each of them as they experience true spiritual authority. It is Joyner's prayer that through this basic study of the spiritual strongholds readers will discover other applications and manifestations of these powers as the Holy Spirit builds an even greater understanding and revelations on overcoming evil in these last days. Profound, rich in insights, and instruction, a timely and important read.

I don't get it...,
By
This review is from: Overcoming Evil in the Last Days (Paperback)
I've read through the section entitled "The Religious Spirit" twice now, and I still don't know what he's talking about. My impression is that he's referring to those who hold fast to God's original Ten Commandments--those who still believe that there indeed is such thing as 100% truth and who are "overly paranoid" about false doctrine creeping into the church. I agree that nobody who calls him or herself a Christian should have a spirit of criticizm toward others, and I also agree that we can't get to heaven through our own goodness or works. But the Bible presents an absolute standard, that our life goal is sanctification, which is often translated as "perfection" (Deut. 18:13, Col. 1:28). I realize the evangelical Christians have a burden for "grace alone" (does this mean we should not bother obeying the Ten Commandments anymore? "By no means!" says Paul--Rom. 6:2, NIV), but doesn't Rev. 14:12 define the "saints" as "they that keep the commandments of God" as well as the "faith of Jesus"?
But, maybe I am misreading the author's intent. But I don't know, because his wording is so vague. |
