Having grown up without role models for a good marriage, I am finding that the author's recommended exercises are very helpful to me (even though I've been through therapy myself). Hearing first-hand accounts of people's experiences has helped me validate my feelings and better understand my parents (and their parents). It is a must read for anyone considering marriage or already in a marriage (even if it is a happy one). Considering the steps the author suggests could only help improve what you have or launch you in the right direction with a new relationship. It will also help those people who are in unhappy relationships and looking to fix or end them. BUY THIS BOOK!
