powerhouse rock 'n' roll, January 19, 1999
This review is from: Overdrive (Audio CD)
L.A.'s Streetwalkin' Cheetahs are a powerhouse rock 'n' roll band inspired by the MC5, the Stooges, the Dictators and other pre-Pistols punk bands. Leader Frank Meyer is an oft-dazzling guitarist (his tutor was Dweezil Zappa) and his vocals are positively feral; the songs are for the most part extremely cool rock tunes, highlighted by "Freak Out Man," What's Coming to Me" and "Built For Speed." The occasional use of gratuitous sexism marrs the surface of this turbocharged vehicle, but otherwise this is tight rock 'n' roll the likes of which Johnny Thunders fantasized about.

Art is awesome on the guitar, January 28, 2011
This review is from: Overdrive (Audio CD)
this an awesome CD love the song peppermint. I do have to say I may be a little bit biased as my cousin Art plays guitar and keyboards for the band. I think that this and there live album are the best ones to date.
