Isabella and Nick both feel that they escaped Chicago and their overbearing families and now are feeling trapped. Nick and Isabella have a long history and when they meet again - it's great reading! Looking forward to more from this family - One Wild Wedding Night due out Jan. 2008.

entertaining torrid contemporary romance,
This review is from: Overexposed (Harlequin Blaze) (Mass Market Paperback)
In Chicago, former marine Nick Santori knew Isabella Natale when she was little "Izzy" growing up in Little Italy. When he sees her in her family's bakery, Nick thinks she is beautiful and wants her. When she sees Nick in the bakery, her feelings of wanting him as a teen remains as strong as an adult.
Nick works as a bodyguard at a night club that some might say is a strip joint. Though confused and wondering how shallow he feels; as he desires Izzy, Nick also has the hots for exotic dancer Crimson Rose, whose velvet mask is almost as enticing as her exotic G-string. Crimson Rose knows the new bodyguard as she has desired him since they grew up in Little Italy together. Although as Izzy she does not have the guts to seduce Nick, as her alterego Rose she does. This is an entertaining torrid contemporary romance that seems a bit over the top as Nick fails to realize that Crimson Rose is his Izzy. The story line is character driven by Izzy whether she is the baker or the erotic dancer. In either persona, she knows she loves Nick, but assumes he does not reciprocate beyond being a pal. He will prove her wrong as he willingly is seduced by the dancer and plans to seduce the baker because he may feel fickle but loves "both" women. Harriet Klausner

Great character build up, good story, humorous sections!
But the way author describes the workings of a strip club and that the main female character is so spell-binding that no one moves when she's on, is laughable, author obviously has no clue how strip clubs really are. And when I'm reading conversations between the 2 main characters and conversations they are having that are seemingly 20 minutes, and female character is STILL wearing this ridiculous mask, you just wanna go, ...seriously?!

Great sizzle, great story!,

I don't normally read Harlequin books, but was introduced to this author from her free Kindle download, Slow Hands (also a Harlequin Blaze). Kelly writes well-crafted stories with steamy scenes, great plots, and fast pacing (stayed up way too late last night reading this one because I wanted to find out what happened next!). She does a good job with her characters and secondary characters, too, resulting in me caring enough to download other books to find out what happens to the rest of the characters. Looking forward to reading her other titles.

I guess I'm more of a prude than I realized. I bought this book after reading Lottie's story, Asking for Trouble because I wanted to read more about the whole family, and I was hoping to get a glimpse into Simon and Lottie's future life together. After being told how protective and loving the Santori men are over their women and how they turn into "whipped" husbands, I was completely blown away when they were excited to see their future sister-in-law strip! A "couples friendly" strip club? Come on... Leslie Kelly is usually pretty traditional-this surprised me about her. And what was that little side story about Bridget and Dean? I guess just a teaser for the Wild Wedding Night? It didn't flow with the rest of the story at all. I will not be reading the story about Nick and Izzy's wedding-One Wild Wedding Night. The reviews mention Mia, Izzy's sister, involved in a threesome and Gloria Santori, Tony Santori's wife, involved in some kind of masked, mistaken identity, spice up her marriage, story with who turns out to be her husband! I just did not like this book.
