I received this book using my university's inter library loan, thank goodness. Although the author is obviously very passionate about his vocation (although i'm still not exactly sure what it is). I received this book using my university's inter library loan, thank goodness. Although the author is obviously very passionate about his vocation (although i'm still not exactly sure what it is). He definitely overstates his credentials, such as when he says he acts as an advisor to "supermodels". An example: the caption of a photo of him with a blonde woman reads "From fat boy to photos with a supermodel....Over a thousand photos of the pair were taken in just two hours." This is one of the many times an editor would have come in handy during the creation of this book because firstly, no one cares how many photos were taken and secondly elaine irwin mellencamp isn't a "supermodel". Gisele is a supermodel, kate moss, christie brinkley, natalia v, THOSE are supermodels. This woman is famous for being married to a singer.

The inside of the book is completely black and white. It contains literally hundreds of photos of the author and his (i think) wife. boring. The photos serve no purpose except to have more photos of the author and to show off his somewhat attractive wife and to act as some sort of scrapbook of the semi-famous people he has met throughout his life for whatever reason.

The text is poorly written, and makes it completely obvious that the author's skills do no lie in journalism. The text contains severe grammatical errors, and is generally difficult to read because of the poor sentence structure, basically it's what you would expect from a typical "meathead".

In the end, the book doesn't really deliver on any of its promises, it never teaches you to "reinvent" yourself, but is instead a weight lifting book in disguise. Sure there is a section on grooming that states one should use "salon quality shampoo, and salon quality conditioner and have frequent trims". Wow. How insightful. I'd suggest picking up an issue of fitness or allure on the newsstand, as it contains much more relevent information that this volume.

---------------------

Kris Gebhardt has the magic formula you must have to turn resolutions into reality.

New book from the guy rock stars, supermodels, Broadway performers, billionaires and CEOs consult to rebuild their bodies, makeover their appearance and reinvent themselves.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - (Send2Press Newswire) - February 16, 2004 - GCI Press (www.trainingyourself.com) announced today that "Overhaul" (ISBN: 1-891947-06-0) written by author and fitness consultant Kris Gebhardt and beauty expert Angela Gebhardt will hit bookstores nationwide this month. Overhaul combines Kris's unique philosophy of self-reinvention with his amazing body rebuilding program. Also including remake tips from his wife Angela, a salon owner, the book offers readers the magic formula they need to transform into a more confident, attractive, and successful person.

According to Kris himself, twenty years ago he was the "poster boy for overweight and washed up." With no special training or advanced education, and armed only with the desire to change, Kris developed his winning formula and discovered the key to turn it all around. Using the principles he now shares in his new book, Kris completely rebuilt his body and reinvented himself as a confident, fit and successful individual.

Kris learned that improving your appearance, fitness level and body image is the greatest self-development tool there is because when you don't feel good about the way you look it puts a dark cloud over everything you do, and can subconsciously hold you back. Since then, Kris has become a master at helping his clients achieve levels of excellence and attractiveness that they could never achieve on their own, and now offers readers his secrets for maintaining peak performance and sustaining their personal best.
