Overlord a very good begginner book on D-Day,

Overlord is a great book for anyone, young or old, to learn about the event of D-Day. Albert Marrin does a good job at keeping Overlord interesting and up-beat. A must-read for WWII buffs

I read this book a long time ago and recently purchased it for my brother as a Christmas gift. I have read several of Marrin's books and they are all very well worth the time. Rarely have I come across an author who does such a good job telling history as Marrin does. I think I must have been around thirteen or fourteen, when I read this one, and I came away with a new appreciation for both the soldiers and the strategizers of this epic battle. I highly recommend this book, and most of the other books written by the same author.
