Editorial Reviews

When college guy thinks his highschool sweetheart is cheating on him, he and another girl send her the world's most disgusting poison-pen letter...via overnight delivery.

Customer Reviews

It's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, and one of my favorites.

The ending is probably what you would expect it to be seeing as it IS a romantic comedy but working your way to the end is the best part of the movie!
"hyper_mellow"
Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd are adorable and have a wonderful chemistry together.

Let's just forget that "Road Trip" completely ripped-off this film and focus on the fact that the choice of actors and the way they do thier job makes this movie just as freakin funny as any Bill Murray movie. Pay attention to the way they say their lines and how they interact with each other--you'll laugh your butt off! This is a great movie, any price you pay for it will be worth the viewing, 100% !

I first caught this movie on Late night cable somewhere. Wouldn't have kept it on but Reese Witherspoon was in it. The more I watched, the more I enjoyed it. Since then I have purchased the movie and watch it every so often, usually with friends who haven't seen it. They too find it's quirky humor addicting. Amazing the similarities between this and another cross country "road trip". I will always prefer this, the original

This is one of the best films I have seen for ages. I think Reese Witherspoon is a really good actress. In this film she plays Ivy. Ivy is working as a stripper but is fired after Wyatt (the male lead) and friends get her fired. He has just discovered his girlfriend Kim is cheating on him and will a little help from Ivy he plots revenge sends her a surprise in the overnight delivery. But when he realises that she isn't cheating on him, he and Ivy have a race against time and the delivery guy to stop the package reaching Kim. The film has everything from a mass murder on the loss to Wyatt playing Tarzan.
A very funny well cast romantic comedy.

If you enjoyed the movie "Road Trip" then head back to the video store and check out the movie that made that one possible. "Overnight Delivery" throws Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon together in a hilarous domino effect of events that only get funnier along the way. The ending is probably what you would expect it to be seeing as it IS a romantic comedy but working your way to the end is the best part of the movie!

What a great movie! If you want to just have a good time, Overnight Delivery will deliver in an evening 87 minutes of pure, fun entertainment. Sit back, relax and enjoy. Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd are adorable and have a wonderful chemistry together. You know the guy gets the girl and the girl gets the guy, but how they do it has a lot of clever twists and turns.

Overnight Delivery, starring Paul Rudd of Clueless fame and the up and coming Reese Witherspoon, is a fun and at times eccentric film about Tripps(Rudd), a undergrad who has to go hundreds of miles across the country with Ivy(Witherspoon) to stop a letter that has been sent-- you guessed it-- "overnight delivery" to his girlfriend that could ruin their relationship. Together Ivy and Tripps go across the country in a VW Thing-- seeing this car is enough reason to watch this film!!!-- and run into a number of obstacles, and although this movie plays on an old, consistently reused plot of having to get somewhere fast but constantly having problems along the way-- this movie gives it a new entertaining spin. Although the movie was technically written by Kevin Smith of Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy fame, most of his twisted sense of humor and waxing intellectual on trivial events was written out of the final script by the studio and he actually--- as far as I understand-- would like no credit for the film. A great film overall and although it would have been interesting to see what Kevin Smith would have brought to the storyline (especially Silent Bob and Jay-- if you don't know what I'm talking about, rent Mallrats) this movie is pretty good!!
