Jack Rice says:
Value is a perfectly valid criterion for a review, and pricing is about value. Don't let others bully you -- don't be afraid to deduct at least a star for price gouging. In fact, I think a one-star review is a perfectly proper protest for egregious price gouging.

In Amazon's defense, they would like to hold the $9.99 price cap, but publishers refuse to coöperate.

Price gauging
Amazon over prices books just because they can. If you have a Kindle reader you pay more as you can NOT buy anywhere else.
Eg: Cluny Cross Amazon price $7.67 Books on Board $5.95 Can I buy at Books on Board? NO. My kindle can not access the site.
and Amazon takes FULL advantage of this.
