JUNO. I sinned in intention. [Mrs. Juno abandons him and resumes her seat, chilled]. I'm as guilty as if I had actually sinned. And I insist on being treated as a sinner, and not walked over as if I'd done nothing, by your wife or any other man.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, thought-provoking comedy, February 16, 2011
This review is from: Overruled (Paperback)
This delightful and thought-provoking comedic one-act play raises serious questions about marital fidelity, whether it is adultery when a person only thinks about being unfaithful, and the question of morality generally. Two couples, unknown to each other, with good marital relations but bothered by a sense of sameness and boredom, agree to separate for a short while by taking separate trips on ships. Each of the four meets a married person of the opposite sex and is attracted to the person. The person they meet is the spouse of the other couple. One set falls in love with each other. The husband of the second couple falls in love with the other man's wife; she does not love him but likes being loved by him and likes his company. By chance, all four are on the same ship together and the first couple, after expressing love of one another, overhears the second where the man expresses his love and the woman says she likes being with him. The first couple reveal themselves and says that they overheard the conversation. The four discuss how to handle the matter. The women are satisfied with remaining with their legal spouses while seeing and enjoying the company of the spouses of the other woman from time to time. The men are shocked at the suggestion and consider it immoral and polyandry. They are overruled.
