Really good, better than I ever expected,
By
This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
As a big Seth fan I must admit I haven't paid much attention to the "Jane" books. But one thing makes sense, that one person who should really know what Seth is saying in his works is Jane. In this trilogy I found that I could hardly put the book down during the first book "The Education of Oversoul 7". This story introduces us to Seven, his entity Cyprus and four of Seven's earthly personalities: Lydia, Josef, Proteus and Ma-ah. The story is fascinating and meant to illustrate the interaction between reincarnational selves with each other and their entity or soul. The second book "The Further Education of Oversoul Seven" didn't hold my attention like the first. Two characters returned from the first book: Josef and Lydia. The story is written from the point of view of a new character William. You meet more of Seven's personalities and see the interaction through time with some of the characters and past or future versions of themselves. The material on "The Gods" seemed to drag the story down to a slow crawl. The third book was almost as interesting as the first. In "The Museum of Time" again Seven is interacting with his personalities except in this story he must assume a human body for a period of time. The writing is very good and the characters are interesting. Jane does an excellent job of illustrating some of Seth's concepts in her novels adding illumination in a way that is only possible through fiction.

Cosmic fun!,
By all love based paths lead to God "loveisthekey" (Planet Earth) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
Read this and you will never be the same again! Unlike anything else I have ever read, the Oversoul 7 trilogy stands alone, and in my top 5 books of all time. Cosmic truths presented in fictional format, but NOT cheesy or contrived like most 'New Age fiction.' You know what I mean - those books that have a story just to provide an excuse for New Age preaching. blech. It's great when it works, but it rarely works. Well this time it works! Jane Roberts pulls it off, and pulls it off quite well!
Read Oversoul and your dreams will come alive. You will look at every sunflake with new appreciation. Your sense of time and space will be forever altered. You will grasp at last the paradox of nonlinear time (ie, 'time travel'). You will meet unforgettable characters and remember them fondly many years later (the hallmark of a great book). And, you'll have fun reading it.

This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
I am an avid reader (although usually of non-fiction books), and I was completely taken in by this work of "fiction"! In fact, I read the entire trilogy (nearly 600 pages) in just a few days!
I highly recommend it for anyone interested in the metaphysical. Although it's fiction, I believe it shares some of the "real" views of the author - apparently obtained during her messages from Seth (I haven't yet read her "Seth" books yet, so I can't be certain about this). Basically, this is a story about the journey & subsequent learning of a non-physical being - oversoul seven, and his many teachers along the way. It is beautifully written, and such a page turner, that I only wished there was more stories of the adventures of this quirky soul. If you are at all interested in the "metaphysical", or enjoy this authors books re: Seth, I would highly recommend "The Oversoul Seven Trilogy" - the author presents some of the most difficult of concepts in an easy, enjoyable way. I can't speak highly enough about this book!

THE standard by which all visionary fiction should be judged,
This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
For those who have read some or all of the Seth books, this is an enthralling explanation, in a fictional context, of the sometimes mind-boggling concepts Jane Roberts/Seth expounded upon. If you have not read any of the Seth Material but are curious, you will realize that what you are reading is nothing less than a literary "theory of everything"-the true nature of time, life, reality and even God.Oversoul Seven is presented as a cosmic "everyman", a literal student of Godhood, being tutored by his patient (and seemingly omnipotent) instructor Cyprus to oversee the incarnations of his human charges-to guide but never interfere with the choices they make. And what a cast of characters! It is not possible to in this short space to reveal all of them, but they are so brilliantly realized they you willnot be able to resist identifying with one or more of them;- there is something for everyone in this uplifting, intellectually challenging and visionary masterwork.

I have studied alot of books on metaphysics, non-local realities and reincarnation, but so much information just doesn't seem to fit together. This book is a story, a very entertaining story, and in the process of enjoying the reading, you notice that a kind of sense comes out of it. It makes order out of the reletivity of time, the life death process, past life memories, guidance, de ja vous and many other things. I felt at the end that I "Got It!" finially. This book gave me a contectual hallway to lead my consciousness through when pondering things metaphysical. I would recommend it highly to the advanced student as well as the beginner. Thanks. :-)

Seth concepts made more understandable,
By Another Reader of Seth (Upper Peninsula of Michigan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
An entertaining book that helps bring the concepts of the Seth books to an understandable level. Especially useful is the presentation of reincarnation within the concept of no such thing as time - past present and future are really all one - NOW. It tells the story of Oversoal Seven, an advanced entity as he learns his lessons on his way to becoming Oversoul Eight. As an oversoul, he has three personailties, (or people, entities, or whatever) to watch over and help out as they learn THEIR lessons of life and truth. Oversoal Seven has his own teacher, Cyprus, who keeps him on track when he wanders, or gets confused. All in all, an entertaining book, that still has the philosophy of Seth without being as dry.

The most magical book I ever read...,
This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
This book is a universe of knowledge, magically warped into a form of a novel. It manages to be a page turner and a wonderful challenge for the soul mind at the same time. I have read Jane's Seth books, and I definitely feel that with this one I have come home. Jane gently guides the reader through the ocean of gods and demons, fears, and hopes, and I can't help but laugh with her at my narrow perception, and expand it more and more with each chapter. Read, enjoy, keep it under your pillow!

Kate returned to her future of the past to see Leopold,
By Mr Masayoshi Ishida (Tokaimura, Ibaraki Japan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
If you really want to understand what "Time" means, you have to read Seth Books & Jane's this one, instead of reading Einstein's or Stephen Hawking's or any of other so-called scientists', to whom I used to belong. In this book you will see in a fictional format the meaning of "Time," which Seth is telling us. Alas, the so-called self-claimed scientists have never officially taken Seth's messages seriously so far. But many writers seem to have gotten Seth & Jane's idea on "Time." In the movie "Kate & Leopold," Kate went "back to her future" to see Leopold in her past. You will understand what this means, only if you read Seth's & Jane's this book. Mind you that the original novel writer seemed to have ingored to make his story commercial what Seth is telling (only to the extent of my understanding): "Even if you managed to go back to your past, people in the past cannot see you." I am sure you can enjoy romantic (not life-killing) SF videos more realistically after reading this book.

This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
This book puts the Seth material alive. It deals in a very lively way with Seth's way of reincarnation, dreams and how you put challenges in front of yourself to expand your view. It's probably only half as valuable if you never read any of the Seth/J.Roberts books, but if you know "Seth Speaks" and maybe "Nature of Personal Reality" the trilogy will add color to many of the concepts found there.

This review is from: The Oversoul Seven Trilogy: The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time (Roberts, Jane) (Paperback)
For those of you who love fictional accounts that leave you on a different plane of existence, this is for you. Many may prefer books that spell things out and leave you with a set of rules to follow from some motivational speaker. This book offers your imagination an enjoyable trip that leaves you with some new perspectives and concepts with which to create your own life.
