5.0 out of 5 stars A little bit for everyone, May 2, 2007
This review is from: Overtones: Eleven Easy to Intermediate Pieces for Piano Solo (Sheet music)
If you're reading this, then you are probably wondering "why is the author reviewing his own work?" Or, you may be thinking, "Wow, that's weird...that reviewer and the author have the same name!"

Regardless, I do own this book, and have even taught a few pieces out of it. The two most important things a piano teacher needs to look for when picking out new repertoire for students is 1. is there a strong pedagogical value to this work and 2. will the students like it. While I can say I don't particularily love every piece in this book, there is something from everyone: pretty pieces, scary pieces, jazzy pieces, and rock-inspired pieces. The collection was put together very well, and the layout is very clear to read.

Overall this book has several pieces that are appealing, and most students will enjoy a few pieces from it. Enjoy!

P.S. If you buy one....thanks!
