Product Description
A soothing oatmeal-enriched insecticidal shampoo that offers both immediate and residual insect control.Kills adult fleas, eggs, lice, and ticks. Prevents eggs from hatching for up to 28 days. Active ingredients are S-Methoprene 0.10%, Pyrethrins 0.15% and Piperonyl Butoxide 1.50%. Methoprene prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing into adult fleas. Pyrethrins causes the insects nervous system to over-stimulate and results in death. A synergist boosts the adulticidal activity of the pyrethrins.

My hedgehog broke out in a case of mites. She was also pregnant at the time, so I didn't want to risk a mites shot or anything strong that could cause complications. This was vet recommended for my hedgehog's situation and it worked out beautifully. She and her babies are now mite-free and healthy. I use it on them once a month to prevent any future outbreaks.

In the 8 years that I've had my dogs, we've never had a flea problem until we brought home a new foster dog. I didn't realize that she had fleas until we'd had her for 2 weeks and by then, all of our dogs were infested. I tried Adam's flea shampoo, which killed all of the adult fleas, but not the eggs. I tried the Ovitrol shampoo and it is amazing. Everyone is now flea-free and smells great! I also bought the Siphotrol premise spray to get rid of any fleas in the house and I haven't seen one since. This stuff is a miracle worker!!!

my cat had a serious infestation. the first wash seemed to kill all the fleas, but to be sure, i did a second wash. there were no survivors on the washed parts, unlike another shampoo i used where there were survivors. i was nervous about it burning or irritating my skin, but it was fine. it doesn't smell medicine-y at all, rather, it smells pretty good.
