I received the Owl a couple of weeks ago and found it simple to install. It does require opening the electric panel, so please understand your own limitations and ask a handy friend or electrician to do it for you if you aren't comfortable. Once I started measuring my usage, I found some lights that I just didn't realize were electricity hogs. Out they go!

It has been brought to my attention numerous times that there is a negative review on Amazon regarding the Owl Micro Energy Monitor. We have shipped out thousands of Micros in the last year and I must say that people absolutely love them and that they work fantastic. We have been selling them into a National home builder for the last few years and have never had even a single Micro get returned to us. In regards to the specific Owl Micro that is listed in the negative review I had that specific device sent back to MN for QC review and we found that the device worked perfectly and had NEVER even been installed. I do not know why Amazon allows negative reviews like this to go unchallenged. The only way to combat negativity is with positivity. Please if you have purchased any Owls from Amazon let people know how great they are. It's the only way to counter false and misleading reviews. Thanks DG

I have used this monitor for several months and it is working great. It gives me a constant reading of how many watts of electricity i am using. I bought it to see how many watts the house was pulling when my generator is running in an outage.
