I had the original edition for years and used it extensively in my world travels--the pages at the back on owl calls were superb and helped a great deal. I know that now with hi-tech involved it might not seem such a big deal but the canceling of the calls pages in the new edition made it almost a non-use book for me--unless perhaps one day I'll be confronted with one of those recently discovered species of owls that are not in a field guide as yet.
