Most new businesses fail within two years. Business owners need to have some degree of mastery and understanding of all the topics to help increase their chances of survival and thriving. Sessions include checklists, suggested activities, lists of Top 10 Do's and Don'ts, quizzes, business plan template, and transcripts of the videos available online.

I took my time in going through this book chapter by chapter and really soaked it in. This book saved me from making so many mistakes I lost count. It's no surprise that so many businesses fail within their first year. Key components of this book were the Business Plan, Licenses and Permits and the advice on how to pick a business to begin with.
If you are starting a business for the first time it would be a mistake not to have first gone through this book and made use of the help it offers in first creating a business plan. Check out their website as well by searching for "My Own Business."

I've found this book to be a terrific primer for anyone starting out in business. It covers most of the areas one needs to be familar with, such as leasing and accounting, while not overdoing the detail. A must read for the new business person!!
