Oxbow timothy hay is the best product you can give your guinea pigs. They love it and any time I open the door the the cubbert, they all come running to the edge of their hutch "wheeking"! As I pile it in for them, their all running and popping in anticipation of eating their favorite treat. I have 13 guinea pigs so cost of supplies is important to me. With Oxboy hay I buy the 50 lb bale so this means I get it for less than $2.00 a pound!! Not to mention it's delivered by UPS right to my door.
I've tried buying Timothy Hay from local farmers by the bale and the quality of their hay is never consistant. I also have to load the messy bale into my car then, clean the mess up after bringing it home. I also know that there other hays, weeds and who knows what in the bale along with the timothy hay. Another problem with buying from the local farmers is I never know it they will have it to sell. If they've had a small crop they don't like to sell just one or two bales to someone like me. They would rather sell to large volume customers.
With Oxbow I always get fresh great smelling pure Timothy Hay, nothing else. It's totally worth the money you spend for it.

This hay is great. The blades are long, and there's no left-over/filler in there, unlike in some of the hay we used to get at Petco.
