I was not expecting 2000+ pages when I ordered this book. I broke it up into three parts and put one each in a large binder. As long as one can handle the size this is a great work. I teach Old and New Testament at a community college and I take the books I am teaching with me and leave the rest in my study. The study notes are excellent and I like the translation for teaching purposes

For those who prefer a liberal slant to their Study Bible, this is an excellent choice, blending the New Revised Standard Bible with the New Oxford Study Bible. The margins our generous and wide, the notes reflect the best in modern liberal scholarship, and the text is easy to read. In a world in which the vast majority of Study Bibles are geared towards conservative evangelicals, this is an invaluable resource for those who prefer to study the Scriptures from a Critical point of view. That being said, the majority of Christians who purchase Bibles will probably be uncomfortable with the conclusions made by the scholars who were invited to participate in the writing of the notes of this Bible.

The Bible is double column: the notes are single column. See below for further information:

Students, professors and general readers alike rely on the New Oxford Annotated Bible for its outstanding scholarship and trustworthy guidance to the world of the Bible. Now this excellent resource is available in study-friendly loose-leaf format. Featuring the full content of the standard study Bible with the added flexibility of loose-leaf, it also includes wide margins that offer ample room for making notes.
