Format: Hardcover
Goes up to the middle of the 20th C. (Has Sandburg and Stevens but not Ginsburg and Giovanni).
A nice volume that I refer to often, packs a thousand pages and fits in my hand. Nicely portable for so much text. Organized in chronological order of poets' dates of birth.

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Don't buy the kindle edition. I have the hard copy of this book and thought it would be nice to have the kindle edition as well. That was a mistake. The kindle edition is comically bad. It looks like someone used Calibre to convert a PDF to the kindle format and then posted it on Amazon. This conversion always results in extremely poor quality books which require a lot of work to make usable. Work that obviously wasn't done for this book. To list a few problems:

- The TOC consists of three lines. For a collection that's around a thousand pages long this is one of the most important parts of the book but it
basically doesn't exist.

- The formatting is amazingly bad. For example, a poem starts with the word "Announce" but the 'A' was typeset differently.
Whatever conversion process was used put the 'A' as a heading on its own line. So you get a single line with a large boldface 'A'.
The next line starts with "nnounce". This is totally unacceptable.

- Every thing is run together, there is no spacing between poems.
