This book is amazing. If you have already got passed the basics of German and want to build your vocabulary SIGNIFICANTLY, this book is for you. (You even DON'T need to know a thing about German, it's one of those books that you pick up and start learning immediately.) What impresses me about this book are two aspects: *First are how many topics it covers: Everything from human anatomy to roofing material. From street- cleaning supplies to mathematics. From hairstyles to botany. From music notation to aircraft. From.... it just never ends. *Second is how the book is formatted: when you open the book you'll see that each section has a diagram. For example take "recording studio." The page will have an illustration of a typical recording studio and have numbers on all of the different equipment (including the people). Then next to the picture will be a list of those corresponding numbers with the German word, then the English translation. Trust me, if you want to improve your German, this is a priceless tool!! |
