This elegant end table combines Oxford's sophisticated design and superior manufacturing, and the result is yours to enjoy for years. A perfect complement to an Oxford bench or armchair, the 18-inch table is crafted from Shorea wood, a semihardwood similar to teak, and is ideally suited for outdoor use. While rain and sun can damage lesser woods, Oxford's end table will endure season after season in your garden, weathering to a warm shade of gray. Built using mortise-and-tenon joinery (the most structurally sound method), the table features solid wood dowel construction. You will receive the table partially assembled; it only takes about 15 minutes to complete the assembly.

Product Description

Another great addition to complete a grouping of chairs or benches, this handy end table makes a setting look finished. This end table is made of shorea, a teak family wood that is more dense and heavy than teak. Shorea requires no finishing and will not rot when left outdoors where rain and sun will damage other lesser quality woods. Left untreated, shorea will weather to a soft warm shade of gray similar to the weathering of teak. Sturdy mortise and tenon construction provides the highest quality joinery that will last for many years. Original color can be maintained by applying a seasonal coat of teak oil.

THIS TABLE IS GREAT. IT'S EASY TO PUT TOGETHER. IT'S VERY HEAVY AND LOOKS GREAT AFTER ASSEMBLY. THE ONE SLIGHT DRAW BACK IS THAT THE DIRECTIONS ARE NOT THE MOST DETAILED. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TABLE ANYTIME. I ALSO CHECKED AROUND AND THE PRICE IS QUITE COMPETITIVE.

Compared to teak this furniture is very reasonably priced, yet it looks just like its more expensive cousin. It went together in about five minutes with no effort. Outstanding. Fit and finish was perfect. I would highly recommend this product.

As with teak wood, this product will age to a silvery gray color. If you like the natural wood tone, just finish it with teak oil about once a year (I did this before I put it on my porch eight months ago and it still looks great.

I ordered two of these tables. They arrive with the legs removed. In a very easy assembly step, each leg is attached with a washer and nut. 7 of the 8 legs attached easily, but one of the bolts was not attached correctly. I tryed glue, but it didn't work. Had to go to Lowes and buy a stainless steel bolt. It cost $2.50. They were packed 2 though so it cost me $5. My fix worked great. It was easier than returning the defective table.
Overall they seem to be of high quality, sturdy and level. I just put teak oil on them. We will see how they do oceanside! Seems to be good value for the price.
