We wanted something for our son's room that would provide him with some comforting light if he woke but wasn't super bright and this does the trick. My son loves the rocket ship design and we like that it can be removed from the base. Just be aware that the light off the base lasts for about 8 hours. I don't like that it is made in China, but I found it impossible to find anything that wasn't. I would highly recommend this light!

After a series of power outages, I got this as back up for my son's room. It's so cute! It glows warm red when you take if off the charger and automatically comes on if the power goes out. He loves it and plays with it often and it works great. It looks cool while providing a feeling of security--fabulous!

I have been the proud owner of the OXO Candela Tooli, 2 Mobi TykeLights and now this Zoom light. We have never been disappointed.

The Zoom light sits nicely on the base when charging and never gets hot. There is a button on the bottom that allows you to control whether the light is off or on. I am unsure how long it lasts, as my son sleeps for 12 hours and we don't need to go in and check on him during the night. It is great for bathroom trips in the middle of the night and looking for 'lost' items in bed after lights out.

For some reason, this light comes on every time I push the on button, no matter how long it had been on the previous night. Again, I don't know how long it stays on, but the MobiLight would turn off and never come on again unless charged.

The worst thing about these lights is the finality of the battery. When it goes, the whole things goes. Of course, that takes about 3 years.

Our 4 year old grandson suddenly developed a fear of the dark. His parents tried the "plug-in" nightlights, but his 2 y/old brother unplugged those. A safety concern and a dark room turned bedtime into an ordeal. This "Zoom" rocket has turned bedtime back into a peaceful routine. He "docks" his rocket every morning on his mothers' dresser so it can charge and be ready for the next night. I'd give it more stars if I could!

Good nightlight for the kids. It is safe and they enjoy having the light in their room. I wish it was a little bigger and brighter and that the base light would shut off during the day automatically but other than that, it is the best thing I have found.

This little nightlight is awesome. Here are the things I love about it:

1) It doesn't actually attach to the base. It charges just by sitting over the base, which makes it easy even for toddlers to remove and replace.
2) It gives off a very powerful glow, but not enough to keep anyone awake.
3) It can be removed from the base and carried around, so if your little guy wants to take it to bed or on a late-night potty trip, it's ready for the journey.
4) It's very durable.
5) It doesn't heat up.
6) It just looks cool!

My sister bought this as a gift for one of my sons, and my only complaint is that she didn't buy more, because now my other son and daughter each want one, too! It may seem a little pricey for a nightlight, but I would still definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a durable, stylish, and practical nightlight for a little guy (or gal) who's not yet ready to brave a full night in the dark. It also makes a very cool and unique gift.

I was dissapointed on how small the rocket was and it really doesnt give as much light as I hoped. My son is 3.5yrs old and does like it but he still says there is not enough light.

My son only has one outlet behind his dresser. He kept waking me up bc his nightlight would go out. I finally found this one online. Wow! He has slept through the night ever since. It stays on all night & is not too bright but bright enough. He loves it & I do too. In the morning I put it on the base to recharge & it is ready to go that night. It is usually still on when he gets up @7am.
I found that battery operated ones didn't last long. Others were too bright even on dim mode. Others turned off after 15 minutes. After trying many different ones we finally found the perfect nightlight. We have had it for 6 months & it still works great.

We bought this a year ago and it works great. Many a bedtime adventure as this Rocket "flies" around the room.

Know if you purchase this item it is final sale. And I quote:

This little light is very disappointing. It's cheap plastic and doesn't offer adequate light or on/off functions. A piece of junk.
