These battery operated candle votives are exactly as advertised. They work great and they can last up to 12 hours. The glow never decreases as they die down, they stay at the same brightness until they turn themselves off. They do have an on/off switch so you don't have to keep them on continuosly. You can turn them off and turn them back on the next night so they last awhile between charges. I keep two of them in the sidelight windows of my front door. It's nice to make people think your home, even if your not, by having "candles" burning in the window. The charging base is very unique. They just rest in the holders without having to push them into charging pins. I highly recommend this product.

Bought this set and followed the instructions in fully charging and discharging them a few times.

At one point, they discharged and they were placed back on the charging pad. The next day I took them off the charging pad to use and they only stayed lit for less than a minute (all 4 of them).

Unfortunately, I tried many things to get them to work again and to no avail.

I had read other reviews about their candles about the recharging issue and thought that it was due to isolated incidents. I should have listened. I'm guessing it's because of the type of battery in the candles....they aren't NiMH...

Now these will be going in the garbage as they cannot be used and it's just not worth it to get replacements for each of the candles. Luckily I didn't pay the Amazon price and found it else where for under $20.
