Product Description

OXY-Boost is a safe and effective alternative to chlorine based products and it can be used in many applications in and around the home. It is based on sodium percarbonate, which uses oxygen for de-staining and deodorizing. Unlike chlorine bleach, OXY-Boost attacks and breaks down organic stains to totally remove them. OXY-Boost contains the highest known concentration of available active oxygen and is uniquely formulated to work in all water types and temperatures. Oxy-Boost is your best stain solver for the dollar.

I've been using Oxy-Boost for a few years, mainly for cleaning up after pets. We moved into a house with off-white wall to wall carpets a few years ago and have indoor cats and two mini dachshunds. We would not have the carpeting anymore if it were not for this product. It absolutely works for both stains and odors. The only thing you need to make sure of, is that you mix it with very hot water. It needs to be fully dissolved in order to be effective. And once mixed it loses some of it's effectiveness after about 6 hours. This will clean up urine stains (even the ones that have dried that you didn't see right away) and will take away the odor. I've even used it on a spot of dried blood and it completely removed it. I often add it to my laundry when I have a lot of stained clothing. It's color safe.

When we had a Cabernet tasting at our home a couple years ago someone spilled a whole glass of red wine on the off-white carpet. Oxy Boost completely took it out. It works on most things organic but does not do a good job on grease. It also works great on outdoor decks and is safe for plants because it breaks down after use into naturally occurring, environmentally-neutral sodium carbonate. And it doesn't have any perfumes or dyes.

I used to use Oxi-Clean for these purposes but over the years the concentration of the oxygen cleaner and the addition of other fillers made it less effective than it once was. Oxy Boost has a much higher concentration of the oxygen bleach and I don't like all the fillers since I have pets.

This is the only thing I use in my carpet steam cleaner anymore. I just mix it with hot water to dissolve it and add it to the water. I don't use any other carpet cleaner along with it. It does a superb job, not just with pet accidents but for dirt from shoes, dropped food, etc. I LOVE this product! Wish I could give it 10 stars.

I read various suggestions online about how to clean burned-on gunk from the bottom of a Le Creuset pot without further damaging the it. I tried a baking soda paste but accomplished very little other than a sore forearm. Next I made a fairly strong solution of OxyBoost of sufficient volume to cover the base of the pot to a depth of about 4 inches and brought the brew to a simmer over low heat. I got nervous as I watched the contents build up quite a head of foam that threatened to billow right out of the pot, but after lowering the heat, the mixture seemed to calm down and, more importantly, I could see little bits of brown junk resting atop the suds. I left it to work its magic for about a half hour, took it off heat, let it cool down, poured off the solution into another pot just in case I had to put it back into the Le Creuset, and then could not believe my eyes! The base of that gorgeous pot was gleaming like new. I am so grateful to know how to keep the thing clean.

I've used OxyBoost for several years as a safe laundry additive but (duh) had not realized it had other household cleaning applications. Now I am eyeing the grout in my bathroom tile floor which has grown somewhat grey over the years since I banned regular bleach from my home. I wonder....

I was told that this was THE product for cleaning tile grout. Wrong. It's good for the laundry, but for cleaning grout, straight bleach, full strength is the best. Be sure to wear gloves and protective clothing.

My brother recommended this product to me and told me to order a large container which I didn't. I am now ordering more. This product works great! It leaves a film so you have to rinse whatever you are cleaning. I only use it for cleaning but my daughter is using it to soak her newborn's clothes. It has gotten all of the stains out of the clothes.

This was my first order..
For the price, too much of the product is needed to do the job., especially for vinyl floors.
As a spot cleaner for fabrics, especially carpet and linens, not better than ordinary stain removers,
Easy on the skin. Smells nice.
