The Oxygen Prescription is the revised, expanded & updated 3rd edition of Oxygen Healing Therapies. It investigates the therapeutic benefits of hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen dioxide) and ozone. Their properties, application and administration are examined according to the results of studies around the globe. The good news is that these therapies promise to bring relief to millions because the substances are inexpensive and affordable. What's more, they have very few adverse effects when correctly administered.

The difference between oxidation (free radical activity) and oxygenation (increase in oxygen molecules) is made clear at the start. The clinical use of ozone and hydrogen peroxide has been amply documented in medical literature but is ignored by the medical mainstream. These two substances hold great promise for the treatment of many of the diseases afflicting mankind and they form part of a new healing paradigm involving safe, effective and natural forms of therapy. In the first part the author explains what these therapies are and takes a closer look at ozone, hydrogen peroxide and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Part two discusses oxidative therapies for a wide spectrum of conditions and diseases including cardiovascular & musculoskeletal problems, cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, an array of infections, neurodegenerative disorders, lung, skin, eye and ear diseases as well as injuries & wound healing and applications in dentistry and veterinary medicine. The author also considers the role of oxygen administration for preventive health, to ensure healthy aging and to enhance athletic performance.

Cancer has been treated with hydrogen peroxide & ozone therapy for decades, since the discovery of Nobel laureate Dr. Otto Warburg that a lack of oxygen at the cellular level enables the disease. Altman evaluates research at the Baylor University Medical Center in Texas, the Tottori University School of Medicine in Japan, Rockefeller University in New York City, the University of California at Irvine and Jackson State University in Mississippi where it was discovered that a combination of hydrogen peroxide, ethanol and the Middle Eastern herb Nigella sativa effectively inactivate cancer cells.

A holistic protocol is provided in part three, including body cleansing, an oxygenation diet, nutritional supplements & healing herbs, aerobic & breathing exercises plus the use of creative visualization. The chapter on herbs and supplements includes valuable information on inter alia beta carotene, coenzyme Q10, vitamins, minerals, trace elements like selenium, echinacea, garlic, ginkgo biloba and green tea. Under Mind-Body Healing the author discusses psycho-neuro-immunology and how to nurture positive thoughts and feelings.

Oxygen products, services and applications like ozone generators, air purifiers, ozonated drinking water, oxygenated bottled water, oxygenation products and the use of hydrogen peroxide in the home and garden are discussed in Appendix I, whilst Appendix II provides resources such as Internet addresses, details of organizations, publications, manufacturers and distributors of products, books and DVD's. The bibliography contains items on bio-oxidative, natural and complementary therapies plus works on holistic health in general.

Tables and figures illustrate the text and the book concludes with extensive notes and an index. This persuasive study provides ample proof that the safety, efficacy and wide-ranging potential applications of oxygen, ozone & hydrogen dioxide merit far more attention than they have been receiving from the media or the medical and scientific communities. The Oxygen Prescription is much more comprehensive and up-to-date than Douglass's Hydrogen Peroxide: Medical Miracle.

This is the book for all who are suffering with lung troubles. For a altertative medicine and healing. Excellent read and information that otherwise doctors and pharmacy would keep from you.

This is the best book I have read on one of the most amazing substances known to mankind. I started researching homeopathic cures using oxygen when a friend of mine who had cancer that was surely fatal (2 golf ball sized tumors in her liver and a large tumor on her sternum) had hydrogen peroxide and vitamin C intraveneously fed and changed her diet (no more sugar for sure). She was CURED of cancer with very little use of chemotherapy. In fact, she tried hydrogen peroxide when she was told that chemo would not cure her cancer and that it may only prolong her life. Her tumors shrank within three months and are well on their way to disappearing all together. Her cancer doctor was amazed!

In this book are the results of hundreds of tests of hydrogen peroxide and ozone that have been done on a myriad of diseases that had previously been considered uncurable, yet the results speak for themselves. There is HOPE! Well worth purchasing. You can use it practically as a Bible. It has all kinds of help for the helpless in it. Thank you Mr. Altman.

Very good book for alternative information about cancer and other maladies.
It gave me information about consuming other things while on the therapy.

Very interesting material even though much of it is old, (pre-1950's). My doctor claims he never heard of any of this information and certainly not in medical school. Makes one wonder what they are teaching there other than 'Big Pharma's' point of view.

This book is okay...I should've reviewed it prior to purchase. It's a little "wordy and technical" for my liking, also it really didn't accompany the H2O2 cleansing technique like I was lead to believe. I wouldn't have purchased this book if I'd pre-read it at the bookstore. My big complaint was the shipping. It took FOREVER to recieve my order from this company.
