Having said bad things about Oxygen 5, let me say that the Oxygen producers did a much better job on Oxygen 7. Disc 2 (BPM: 134-139) is the faster-paced floor workout disc, and this is a solid mix that gets the class pumped up well. "Cup of Life" is a cool song with a Latin sound that is upbeat. "Jingo" and "Batucada" will get the class jumping as well. The mix ends with a sorta serious feel, and I would have given the mix a "happier" ending if I could. But overall the mix is a good one with a nice blend of music sounds and styles.

But while Disc 2 is good, the step disc (Disc 1) is not really anything to write home about. The songs really don't stand out, and it has much more of a pure "rap" feel than Disc 2. If you are a big rap fan, then maybe this disc is for you, but even so I would think that there are better rap workout mixes out there than this one. I don't teach step, so I really don't care that much about Disc 1, but if you are buying this CD for step, I would say "shop around" before you decide to buy this one. Disc 1 BPM: All 126.
