I really like the Oye Mi Canto song, both versions, with that great danceable beat. However, I just don't need to hear any profanity! I have kids and I have to make sure I fast forward the beginning of the song on the album version. Still hoping a cleaned version gets released.

"Oye mi canto" is N.O.R.E.'s first foray into reggaeton. According to Nore's bloated ego( his ego matches his weight, bloated! ) Oye is the FIRST breakout reggaeton in the States. Well, I wouldn't say that at all. It may have preceded 'Gasolina' by a few days or weeks, but whatever the case may be, it is still a banger I give it to Nore! Let me just get this out the way, Nore is NOT a reggaeton artist he is a MC and an ENGLISH SPEAKING mc at dat! He, in my opinion, simply jumped on the bandwagon and used his boricua half to capitalize. The fact that he got Daddy Yankee, Gem Estrella and Nina Sky on the track helps as well. Nore DOES NOT SPEAK SPANISH let's be clear!! the extent of his spanish are cornball lyrics like "Padrino, while i lay up in the casino" and dropping towns in PR "I be Fajardo, San Juan, Bayamon." His rhymes have always been off the wall and i like the early Nore stuff ALOT! " The War Report" is one of the best hip hop albums EVER! But when Nore jumped on the reggaeton bandwagon, he lost my respect. The song is good yes but trust me, if Nore didn't have Yankee and Luny Tunes and others to back him up, he'd be a complete joke! Say I'm hating huh? If you ever see Nore go up to him and ask him to kick a freestyle in Spanish. Watch him scratch his fat head and go " I be the padrino in the casino oye mami my name is Nore here's the story." His medicore bi lingual AT BEST reggaeton attempts are duds, "Oye" is his one shining moment. Nore, please, go hook up with Pone again son cuz without Pone you really just un payaso yatu sabes? Back when CNN was the ish is when Nore could be respected now I really look at him and have to blurt out a big QUE QUE???!!
