I have a lot with lots of bushes and trees - and lots of shade. Mosquitos love shady areas, so we tend to have so amy of those annoying blood-sucking pests that it was no longer fun to be outside during "bug season".

I purchased several bottles of Cutter Bug-Free Backyard, and I was absolutely amazed at how well it worked! There are still occasional bugs, but nothing like it was before. This product works! I can now enjoy my backyard, gardening, or just sitting and enjoying the weather without always being on guard for bugs.

The key to using this product is in its application. Spray all the foliage in the area you want to make bug-free, and spray the grass too. Spray tree bark, under the overhang of your house - get everything covered. Then sit back and enjoy a bug-free yard. If it does not rain excessively hard, the effect will last upwards of 2-3 weeks or longer. So much depends on the precipitation the area gets. If for example, your yard gets a heavy downpour after applying the Cutter spray, the effect will be gone and the bugs back. So watch the weather and apply before heavy rain.

Purchase as many bottles as it takes to cover the area you wish to render bug-free. My yard takes 4-5 bottles (1.2 acres). It does not have to go on heavy, just get the foliage wet.

I used this product last year and loved the results. This year they must have changed the nozzle somehow cuase I tried 3 different bottles and couldn't get the product to spray out at all. all I did was end up giving the misquitos more water to breed it.. The last bottle I even bought at a different store on the off chance that it was just a bad batch which is unfortunate but could have occurred. No such luck. Guess I'll need to look for a new product.

Followed the directions exactly...not just once but multiple times. Left with a wet yard and a full bottle of bug spray. Could finally get it to work a little if I squeezed the bottle really hard while spraying. Sorry, I don't have the muscles to keep that up long. You really need to revisit the design of this packaging and delivery system.

This stuff works very well and has very little toxicity for people, birds and pets.

It is effective for mosquitoes, flies, black flies and even chiggers!

I am from the deep south and whenever we have our family reunion it is always outside. If you dont come back with 40 bug bites you have made it out alive. I purchased this from our local Lowe's and it worked instantly!!! I do hate the fact that you will have to re-apply it as the day goes on but next year I will have 6 bottles and will treat the yard daily with this stuff. I only got 8 bug bites this time. I consider this success!! We ahve 70 acers and I have to treat about 5 acres so I was very pleased.

The plastic connector kept popping off my hose - I was completely soaked in less that 10 minutes. I had to keep crimping the hose and re-connecting, only for it to pop out of place again. When I turned the white dial to the "on" position, IT kept popping off as well allowing water to jet out everywhere. water with pesticide. all over me. not fun at all.

August 2011 northwest of Chicago the mosquito's are swarming in my yard. You can't go outside for a minute without being swarmed. You could see twenty or thirty mosquito's surrounding my dog. Had to do something so I bought this and sprayed all my grass and shrubs excluding the garden. WOW What a difference, yeah there's a couple skeeters but you can walk around the house and not be bitten. That was two days ago and it has rained but still no bugs, Don't know how long it will last but there's enough in bottle to spray again. I bought it at local store for $13. Would highly recommend.

We have a fairly large lot with plenty of landscaping. We entertain outside quite often and a few years ago we came across the Cutter backyard spray. AWESOME PRODUCT. No mosquitos for weeks on end. Last year, we used the product and it seemed to actually draw more mosquitos! Figured it was just a year with more bugs than usual. This year, we tried the product again and the results were...well, non-existent. It was just like the previous reviewer, I ended up with wet landscape and no mosquito relief. They must have changed the formula because I cannot believe this is the same Cutter I used a couple of years ago. Sure hope they get the picture and go back to the old spray. It was wonderful!

I just tried using this product. It is by far the WORST product I have come across in a long time. The on/off valve is not easy to use. Mine came out completely. I had to have my husband stand at the faucet and be my on/off valve. The connections leak horribly and I got sprayed in the face several times. Thank God I wear glasses and had on a visor. After a minute I gave up because the sprayer was so poorly designed. I am shocked that this product is not being pulled from the marketplace as it is so unsafe to use.
