3.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but tricky. April 10, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What they don't tell you is that the ebook just has links to Libravox recordings, which aren't very good in my experience (but I haven't tested out the OZ books). The illustrations are cool, but the JPG compression on them makes them look pretty grainy.

The bottom line is that these books are already free and in the public domain. But if you're too lazy to go collect them yourself, this isn't a bad option. It's hard to argue with 99 cents.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything Oz May 31, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
The entire collection (fourteen) of Oz books for (currently) only 99¢? You can't go wrong! My nearly nine year-old daughter is into the popular kid lit right now, but adores the Oz series and is eating the stories up. I couldn't be happier. Yes, you can't replace the experience of reading it from the original book, but to have all of the books on one compact and portable Kindle is great. I'm enjoying discovering them as well. I will sheepishly admit that I didn't realize that Mr. Baum wrote so many books about this fantastical land. In any event, all of them are here, and the first one is even illustrated. We've only made it up to The Emerald City of Oz, but I don't see how we could be disappointed by the remaining novels. We plan on checking out the links to the full-length audio recordings of these books in this collection as well. I'm an audio book junkie, so that format is ideal for me, and I'll thrilled that Doma Publishing offers it as an option.

5.0 out of 5 stars My daughters LOVE it! April 11, 2013
By JanieG
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
After seeing the new Oz movie, my daughters were curious about the original story. I had read the first book as a child, so I thought it might be fun to revisit them with my kids. Wow, these books are great. I had no idea there were so many Oz books. To have them all in order is a big plus. They also love the illustrations. For .99, this is a definite must.

5.0 out of 5 stars well-crafted release of public domain material June 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Well worth spending the extra buck to have illustrations and solid navigation. Even though the items are available "free" elsewhere, they're so well organized and presented here that I have no problem paying the (very) modest price for the effort to organize and present well.

5.0 out of 5 stars I forgot how wonderful April 17, 2013
By Lois A.
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am old enough to remember the first time I saw Dorothy open the door to Oz. It was the first time I saw Technicolor. After seeing the movie I asked my mom to find the book. Mom said I was too young to read it, so I asked my Grandma. She got the book and we spent hours and hours reading it. She helped me with the words, and this memory is now repeated with my Grand Children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oz: The Complete Collection May 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I so loved this series! I don't understand why movies or tv don't make this in the original form. It took me a while to read them but almost regretted them ending. It was so enlightening to see what happenned to all the characters after the original book. These would be wonderful for kids to read instead of the vampires and gore they read and could still keep their attention.

I love having these books on my kindle fire. I have loved The Wizard of Oz since I was a child but never read the books. I love the illustrations that come with the first book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nicely Done June 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
While I'm not finished, so far I haven't seen any errors, it is nicely indexed. I hope someone contines with the rest of the "official" histories of Oz.
