All I needed was an inexpensive kitchen scale that wasnt complicated to use. Once you get old, it seems that the most mundane things have gotten increasingly more complicated to use. This scale fit the bill and it did not dissapoint. Its a very simple scale that does what it does best. Its very accurate and consisten for its size and tare function isnt difficult to use. If all you're looking for is a nice simple scale to use, this is the one.

This is definitely a great scale! Measures in grams, kg, ounces, and pounds. Very accurate and easy to use. If you use your own bowl/plate to measure food out, all you have to do is set it on there, press the on/off button once and it sets it back to zero. I use it to weigh my food with the HCG diet and it works perfect! Would definitely recommend!

Last July I purchased an Ozeri ZK12 from Amazon. During the first week of December the unit failed and would not function at all. Up until this point it worked perfectly. I contacted Ozeri customer service and received a response within a day or two. They said they would replace the unit with a new unit at no charge. All I had to do was provide them with my Amazon order number, which I did. A new unit arrived about 2 weeks later and is working as intended. I am very pleased with the unit and the quick, hassel-free response from the vendor.

I've been using this scale to weigh food and keep track of my ball pythons weight gain. It's easy to use, and you can tare containers for weighing. This scale is slender and small, it's between the size of a dinner and a salad plate. I store it on top of my microwave. The only thing I've noticed is that the part of the scale where you weigh items discolors easily. It has taken on a sheen like motor oil. I just wipe it off and go from there.

this scale was everything i was looking for and maybe more. Its easy enough to use to just figure out how to use out of the box with incredible ease. Its very lightweight and relitively small so you can store this is practically any nook and cranny you can find in a kitchen. As for accuracy, this scale is spot on even though i've managed to ding it up a few times. The tare function works beautifally and is self explainatory as well. For all the times i've used this scale, it has performed flawalessly and i'd recommend this to anyone whatever your use for it is.

I had been wanting to upgrade our kitchen scale from our older and not very accurate mechanical one to a newer digital model. Had it been on price alone, I probably wouldn't have considered the Ozeri Pro Digital Kitchen Food Scale because usually you get what you pay for, but in this case the majority of reviews said otherwise.

When I received it I was a little skeptical at how long it would last as it feels rather cheap, but after using it quite often over the last several months my concerns are gone. It has measured very accurately from day one, cleans up easily if spilled on and can be stored just about anywhere because of it's compact size. Definitely a good buy!

This scale was a replacement for our broken Escali Primo scale which died after 6 months. While we waited for a replacement, we purchased this very similar Ozeri scale. We don't abuse our scales, but we do use them. We weigh most of our food, so it gets used several times a day. The failure of this scale is that the tare button stopped working. Up until it broke, we were well satisfied. I am wondering if this scale and the Escali (along with some other brands on the Amazon site which look so similar) are made by the same company and then branded by different companies? Each of our scales--Escali and Ozeri lasted about 6 months at the level of use in our home.

The Ozeri Pro Digital Kitchen Food Scale is a great deal when it is on sale. However, at price points above $15.00 - $20.00 you might want to look around. I paid about $12.00 for this item and I think, given the review below, $12.00 - $15.00 was the limit of what I would have been comfortable paying for this item in hindsight.

Functionally, the scale fits the bill. It weighs items quickly, tares with the push of a single button (or automatically when you turn it on with an item already on the platform) and can weigh in a number of different units (grams, kilograms, ounces, and pounds).

Aesthetics are only okay. The scale is made entirely of plastic. The platform is made of plastic and painted with a chrome colored paint. The problem about this is the platform's "chrome" surface becomes easily scratched. I scratched mine when I placed a nickel coin on the scale to test the accuracy. As I slid the coin off the scale's surface a number of scratches were left behind. If you are not too concerned about these minor aesthetic issues, then this is still a good scale.

Another potential issue is the size of the platform. The scale's platform measures a mere 5 and 1/8 inches across. If you are planning on weighing larger items (such as when I am splitting up large pieces of meat into smaller steaks) you may need to place a small plate on the platform first. Only problem with that is trying to still see the display which is less than one inch from the edge of the platform.

One really nice thing about the scale is how it is powered. The scale runs on two AAA batteries that are installed in the under area (out of sight). There is no need for a cord. I've used this scale every other day for about four months now and the batteries are still going strong. There is not a plug in for a cord. You must use batteries with this scale. The scale was shipped with a set of AAA batteries and I just check; I still have the free set that was packed with my scale. The nice thing about no cord is that we can keep this scale packed away in a drawer and only pull it out when we need it; freeing up valuable counter space.

The overall dimensions of the scale are 8 1/4 inches long by 5 3/4 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall.

The issues mentioned above are probably not deal breakers for many people. They were not for me. I have used this scale to portion out food items, to weigh books that I've sold on Amazon, and to weigh items for my pack when I'm going backpacking (small items of course, not sleeping bags, etc.). That's why I gave this four stars. The scale works and there are plenty of things to like about it. For $12-$15 its great. Above $15, it might be worth looking elsewhere.

I use this scale almost daily for my special diet and I am definately satisfied with the quality and accuracy of this scale. The weighing platform has a nice chrome finish that is really easy to clean or wipe down when you need to, and the tare function is really easy to use. Overall, this scale feels solid and sturdy enough to face any weighing challenges you might have.

This product seems to work well enough, but for the price I thought it would be a lot better quality. The "metal" weighing tray is definitely plastic that is just painted with a metallic finish. It does not feel very sturdy, so I worry about how long it will last.

I think the "chrome" selling point is quite misleading for this item. But, seems to be accurate for now.
