5.0 out of 5 stars Ozzy Osbourne-The DVD Diary Of The Heavy Metal Madman, October 11, 2001
By
This review is from: Ozzy Osbourne - Don't Blame Me (DVD)
This well put together documentary, made in 1991, showcases the incredible life of the Heavy Metal Madman, Ozzy Osbourne. Starting off with his childhood and finishing with his successful "final" 1991 No More Tears tour, this is a must own for any fan of hard rock. With over 24 songs from his solo career as well as his work with the legendary Black Sabbath, you'll be jammin' forever! And if you think other behind-the-scene shows dish out the dirt, it definately doesn't compare to the voice of Oz! He, as well as other rockers from bands like Motorhead, Metallica, Def Leppard, and Motley Crue, tell you all the insane stories of life on the road with Ozzy, as well as his time with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, & Bill Ward, otherwise known as Black Sabbath. You get such a great collection with this DVD: The 1970 Black Sabbath Paris performances, the Randy Rhoads demos, the 1985 Live Aid reunion, the complete unedited videos for "Breaking All The Rules" and "No More Tears", the Moscow Peace Festival, and the list goes on and on. At over one and a half hours long, this DVD will just make you "Bark At The Moon" with insane delight. All Hail Ozzy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Any Ozzy fan should have this, March 20, 2001

This review is from: Ozzy Osbourne - Don't Blame Me (DVD)
I just got this DVD and it is excellent. It does a great job telling the story of Ozzy's life, from back when Ozzy, Bill Ward, Geezer Butler and Tonni Iommi formed "Earth" and their start as Black Sabbath, how they broke up, up to where Ozzy is now. It focuses on his music, but it also goes into his family life with his wife Sharon and his three children, and Ozzy's late guitarist Randy Rhoads. When I ordered this, originally had assumed that it was a collection of his music videos, with some interviews and concert footage as a bonus. Turns out I was wrong, as there's only one full music video, which is No More Tears. But the rest of this video is so good that I don't think that the lack of videos takes too much away. It has interviews with Ozzy, Bill Ward, Alice Cooper, Sharon Osbourne, and many other people, it has tons of concert footage, it tells the stories of the bat and the dove, and a lot more than that. For anyone who's an Ozzy fan I strongly recommend this.

2.0 out of 5 stars What happened to the footage from the VHS????????????, December 25, 2001

I love this DVD, don't get me wrong, but there was WAY MORE footage on the VHS tape. Where is the footage of Ozzy talking about killing his wife when he was drunk. There was also a lot more footage of Randy Rhoads and Ozzy talking about his death. Did that all disappear or what? I'm not trying to be morbid or anything, but why would that stuff be taken out??????????
