As a balsa free flight model builder, I say Rikyu Watanabe's artwork alone is worth the price.
More recent digital artwork tends to have less soul and detail. Watanabe's panel lines and other
great detail is what you would expect from a former WWII pilot who went on to develop his art.
The book is packed with details in text also. If you want more...

this book only has 52 pgs, but it contains many large illistrations and fold out color prints of this a/c. nice book to add to a P-38 library. for the price buy it, its worth the money.

The book is packed with details in text also. If you want more than a few variations in color scheme,
see titles in the Osprey Publications series.
