4.0 out of 5 stars Seems to work!
We started noticing cockroaches in our house and garage some weeks ago, right after the (condemned) property close to us finally got it's 3-foot-tall grass mowed. I assume they are looking for greener pastures and I was Not going to let them rest here!! I saw the reviews and gave it a try. I'd like to point out a few things about the product, though...

I just moved into a duplex where these tablets were in every cupboard, cabinets and closet. But the place is still infested with bugs!!!! I have used Boric acid powder and homemade traps for years that DO work. I recommend that you not waste your money on this product. Instead buy the powder and make a mixture of sugar, butter and boric acid. Pack into plastic straws and cut 1/2 strips. These tiny roach baits will fit into corners, cracks and can be dropped behind the walls. These will last forever and keep on working and your roach problem will disappear. I have lived in Maryland and Texas and live roach free while my neighbors suffer!!

We started noticing cockroaches in our house and garage some weeks ago, right after the (condemned) property close to us finally got it's 3-foot-tall grass mowed. I assume they are looking for greener pastures and I was Not going to let them rest here!! I saw the reviews and gave it a try. I'd like to point out a few things about the product, though.

First, for pet owners - don't believe the other review(s) that this is "pet friendly". It states on the box that you want to keep this away from your pets. But the nature of the product and where you place it around your home DOES make it the best choice. I have three cats and as soon as I opened this product they all came running to see (it does sound like pet food or treats inside a box - so you can imagine how they reacted). However, if you have a house like mine, there is still absolutely no way they can retrieve these pellets if you place them correctly. I was able to make them completely disappear between the carpet and the wall.

Second, I think it works! While I was hoping to see some dead cockroaches on my carpet, (DIE!!) I simply didn't see any again! It's been over a month now and I've been looking. We used to see maybe one or two in the middle of the day (when it's usually quiet) or in the middle of the night and they just aren't there. I wish I could say I've seen evidence of the pellets being eaten, but if you follow the instructions you won't see those pellets ever again anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars A "Best Kept Secret"...., February 28, 2010

I have used Harris Famous Roach Tablet products for years and find them to be most effective. In addition, I have recommended them to countless friends and neighbors, all with stellar results. If anyone is dissatisfied with the results, they must be using them incorrectly or expecting them to work on insects other than roaches. For me, this is the ultimate, perfect product. Place them around all entrances to your home and various locations around the kitchen and bath. They are safe for pets and children, too. If you keep a close watch on the tablets from day to day, you will see that small bits of them are gone. Take a close look, around the edges and you will notice the tablet losing its shape due to erosion by roaches nibbling at them. The substance is picked up by the roach and taken to its nest, where the whole roach family partakes. Before long, no more roaches. And they stay gone for years -- as long as you keep the tablets replenished. I highly recommend ALL of the Harris roach elimination products.

5.0 out of 5 stars Safe, simple, effective. Harris' = dead roaches, May 26, 2010

We had seen just a few roaches in our attached garage - maybe one a week - an only one or two EVER in the house. I wasn't worried about it, assuming they were just passing through. My wife and kids, however, somehow felt inhospitably toward these creatures (and did not like my suggestion that they merely step on them). We tried boric acid powder in the past. It was effective but messy. NOW I know why Harris' tablets are 'famous'. Three weeks ago I scattered them haphazardly around the perimeter of the garage - under the workbench, fridge, behind the washer and dryer. Two weeks ago, roaches began crawling out in to the middle of the garage to die. We've probably averaged three per DAY - sometimes dead, sometimes in the final throes of death. Amazing. We must have killed 30 or 40 roaches so far, and there were three more this morning. Thanks, Harris!

5.0 out of 5 stars Roaches Delight, December 23, 2010

This review is from: P.F. Harris HRT6 Famous Roach Tablets (Misc.)
I have used Harris Roach Tablets for years and believe it is the most effective product on the market. Some years ago while I was in the Military, we were stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, which is a haven for roaches. The building that my unit used was an old wood-framed building that had been infested with roaches for years. The roaches were so bad that they would get into our desk and eat the glue from our writing paper tablets. The local entomologists visited our facility on a regular basis and sprayed their poison both inside and outside the building, but too little avail. Someone suggested that we try the Harris roach tablets as a last resort; so on a Friday afternoon before we departed for the weekend, we spread the tablets throughout the office. On Monday morning, we found hundreds of dead roaches littered on our office floor. On Tuesday, we counted about 90, on Wednesday about 50, until by the end of the week, there were no more to be found. Our office was roach-free for the next several years until we eventually vacated the facility. After this experience, I have been sold on their effectiveness and recommend it for roaches.

I've been using this along with gentrol stations and I'm finding dead roach after just 1 week. These are real simple to use. I drop them here and there, in between cracks and in the garage. So far so good. I will write another review after one month, but I haven't seen one alive roach. I don't have an infestation but I'm pretty sure this will kill those disgusting insects off for good!

We started seeing cockroaches in the kitchen recently.

Then we decided to try this one. We put these tablets in the corners and places under kitchen drawers and under the sink and everywhere we could fit them without being seen. The next day we saw 2-3 cockroaches in the kitchen which seemed to be not running away as fast as earlier. We thought it could be a good sign and they will be completely gone in a few days. Well, now its 2 weeks and we still see a lot of them. May be more of them came now. I dont know whether they even come eat these tablets.

1.0 out of 5 stars Barely made a dent..., April 7, 2011
This review is from: P.F. Harris HRT6 Famous Roach Tablets (Misc.)
I bought these tablets based on some positive reviews, but they barely made a difference at all. I have never had a problem with cockroaches until last Spring. I believe they came in when we installed a new dishwasher (possibly came in w/ packaging or the machine iteself). We wound up with a terrible problem in my kitchen. I FREAKED OUT! Immediately did research and ordered these, but no luck. I then read an article for research done on cockroach elimination. Very informative, and relatively simple to do. Here's the link...[...] I purchased a package of Raid Roach Trap and Egg Stop at my local WalMart for about $8, and some cheap boric acid (as the article said to do). I followed the instructions to the T. Within approximately 2 weeks, I hardly saw any more at all and within 3 weeks, they were COMPLETELY gone. Completely. None. Sooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!!

We got really fast shipping on this product. My wife put it out following the directions on the box and it seems to getting rid of them. I believe that we have so many that it is going to take several boxes to get rid of them all together. If I had known about the product when they first starting appearing I could have gotten rid of more and not let it get so bad. I recommend putting a wet/dry vac somewhere they run the most and just suck them little varmints up! Plus use this product to get rid of the one's you can't see.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Working!!!!, August 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: P.F. Harris HRT6 Famous Roach Tablets (Misc.)
I purchased this product as I was at my wit's end with the disgusting critters that moved into our home after a very dirty family moved out next door and their house was gutted. We became narotically clean, I mean I was bleaching everything in the house...vacuuming/sweeping everyday...even taking up the dog bowl and washing it every night. Any open food containers were kept in the refigerator or in a container with a lid. We used boric acid in every place that was out of reach of our pets as well as bait traps. These products would help, but not last. We kept seeing them. Upon researching the internet for something that would rid us of what I call "creepies", I came across posts for the Harris tablets. Well the night they came my boyfriend placed them ALL over the house, even in places we had not seen the creepies (and of course in places the pets could not reach them). After about a day or 2 we had a few appearances and I thought, NOOO it's not working!! But my boyfriend assured me that this would happen as the creepies would eat the tablet and start to die from dehydration...so they come out 1. because they are disoriented and 2. they are looking for a water source. Luckily he was home when they appeared so he could kill them instantly and not let them get away. Well, it has been about 3 weeks and up until a few days ago there were NO appearances! We did find 1 random one behind a picture we took down and it was killed and one more in the sink just 2 days ago..again, killed. Now I have been somewhat discouraged by these 2 sightings but we do live in a townhouse, where everyone knows, if 1 house has them, you're bound to see them elsewhere. Overall this product has sincerely saved me from the horror. If you have these detestable creatures, use these tablets immediately and put them everywhere!! If you live in a townhome you should be prepared with them just in case. If you suspect you could have unsanitary neighbors and/or they have work done on their house, you need to be prepared. I recommend these tablets highly (and I suggest using boric acid as well).
