About the Author

Diane Falanga, a mother of two, was inspired to put this book together after receiving her eight-year-old daughter's hilarious letters home from camp. After sharing her story with a number of friends, and sending e-mails across the country she was able to gather a few hundred laugh-out-loud letters for this collection. She is an interior designer and founder of the Heart Homes Initiative of Designs for Dignity (a not-for-profit providing furniture for those in need). Diane lives on Chicago's North Shore.

This book is a cute, funny book and a very quick read.

Not good on my black and white kindle because the book has no text; it is all copies of letters so graphics.

That's how good this little book is... packed full of real, laugh out loud letters, from real kids at camp.

This book is hilarious...having sent my own daughter to camp for several years, I can relate to it. Its funny, pithy and rings true to what a mother can get in those letters. As I rarely do, I laughed out loud when I ready this one. Its a quick fun read, and its a great book to read WITH your kids BEFORE they go to camp to get everyone ready for the journey. Thanks to the author for pulling together such a clever grouping of letters for all of us to enjoy! LB

Honestly, I'm a HUGE fan of 'Found' items and compilations like this but this is the least funny of the ones I have read. I prefer Mortified or the above mentioned Found for LOL value. However, this would be an amusing part of a care package to camp or in the bathroom for a read.

Don't expect P.S. I Hate it Here to ever find a permanent spot on your bookshelf. After reading it yourself (this will most likely involve stopping frequently to read your favorite passages to anyone who happens to be nearby), you will end up passing it on to friends and family members, then buying another copy to keep on your coffee table. You will want everyone you know to experience the matter-of-fact hilarity of this book. While I would certainly recommend this to anyone who plans on sending their child to camp next summer, a connection to summer camp isn't at all necessary to enjoy this book immensely. If you have a sense of humor, you will love it. I hope there is a P.S. I (Still) Hate it Here in the works!

This book is AMAZING and FUNNY and perfect for the whole family. We read the letters out loud during dinner and sometimes cant get through a page because we are laughing so hard. We are also loving the book because our son has a letter featured and each time we re-read it, it reminds us how happy he is at camp. We hope there are many future editions of this book in years to come.

We have been giving it as gifts to many of our friends with children going to camp for the first time as it takes some of the nerves out of the whole process.

A must read!!

My wife gave me this fast-read little book for my 62nd birthday. It's both hilarious and touching. I can remember writing a letter home to my mom from camp with a drawing of a little kid crying on the back of the envelope. So this really hit home. Great for reading aloud to your baby boomer friends. Check it out. I guarantee you'll get lots of good laughs!

Having just sent my daughter to camp for the first time, her letters home would have fit in perfectly with this book! Kids are funny and frank and that's why this book is so appealing! Great for any aged "camper"!!
