Book Description

May 1, 2012
On the heels of the successful P.S. I Hate it Here comes an all-new, even more outrageous and laugh-out-loud funny collection of real letters written by children ages eight to sixteen to their parents about their adventures at summer camp. Written with the same wit and honesty that made the first book a runaway hit, these new letters take the reader on a familiar adventure that conjures up the experience of being away from home, and the hilarious and lasting memories that accompany that special place called sleepaway camp.

Praise for P.S. I Still Hate it Here:

“Will give you and your friends a good laugh while you’re at the beach and the kids are away.” —Geek Mom

5.0 out of 5 stars P.S. I Still Hate It Here May 21, 2012
By DLW
Format:Paperback
As a children's Camp Director, it is important to learn as much as possible about the children under your care. Any information can be helpful in proper cabin placement, avoiding mistakes, correcting previous mistakes, this list goes on and on.... Reading genuine letters written by campers whose emotions and feelings are poured onto paper provides an incredibly unique perspective to a camp professional of how a child was truly feeling at that moment. This collection of letters is a gold mine of data to that professional. Every camp strives to be the best it can be. Getting to know campers better through interpretation of their written words is extremely valuable and can teach any camp professional something they haven't heard about or noticed before. This can lead to better results for all. In addition, the letters are absolutely hilarious reminders of the special memories created as only a camp can do. A great investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Out of the mouth of Babes May 7, 2012
Format:Paperback
For any parent who has sent their child to camp, thinking it would be a wonderful experience, and for any child who has willingly or unqwillingly gone to camp. These letters written home could not have been made up and that is what makes the book so funny. The letters are printed in the book in their original form. With all the technology of today it is a treat to see hand written letters on stationary from these disgruntled campers. Absolutely hilarious. Pick up the book, open to any page and get ready to laugh out loud.
Kudos to Diane Falanga.

5.0 out of 5 stars A reassuring guide for parents! May 7, 2012
By JuliaW
Format:Paperback
P.S. I still hate it here - is another hilarious compilation of non-fictional tales from sleep away campers. Not only is this a wonderful read for parents contemplating sending their kids away, but it allows you to gain an overall perspective once you receive one of these incredibly dramatic letters (versus cancelling the rest of your summer and rushing up to rescue your tots!). My teens read the book also and laughed out loud at the experiences of other kids. Since there is truly no guide to separating correctly from kids as they venture off for eight weeks without mom or dad, this book tackles the subject without even meaning to - and allows parents to gain comfort from these shared sagas. Thankfully I am not the only mother who forgot to pack my son his boxers!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and innocent May 3, 2012
By Larry C
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
In my experience, it's rare that my 11-year-old boy's ears perk up when I'm reading a book to his 7-year-old brother. But that is exactly what happened as I climbed into my younger boy's bed and began reading the letters out loud. While reading the third letter, my oldest son joined us and both boys were grinning and nodding to each other as they listened to the innocent and dead-on letters written by kids describing their camp experiences. One of the funniest was a boy who had rated many of the aspects of camp and ended up with a negative score.

The best was when I told them it was time to turn off the lights, and both pleaded with me to read a few more letters. I did, and after a thoroughly enjoyable reading, my 7-year-old tugged my sleeve and whispered, "See, all the camps are alike. None of them are any good." Then, "will you read some more tomorrow?"

This book will be fun for the entire family, especially if the kids or the parents have ever stayed at an overnight camp.

The day I brought PS #2 home my daughter snapped it up and it has been on her night stand ever since! I think that every camp aged kid will find a bit of them self in these stories, even if you never went to overnight camp the letters are hilarious and fun to read in their original form. Great summertime reading!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Kids say the " darnedest " things... May 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
As a past camper myself, who went to three different sleep away camps in six years, I can completely relate to this book. While reading these letters it brought me back in time to my own camp experience. Although many years have passed since I went to camp, it is obvious that not much as changed when it comes to kids writing "I hate it here" letters home. I was one of those campers and I absolutely loved reading this book. I read the book with my friends, who also went to sleep away camp, and we were all hysterical laughing and reminiscing. This book is a fun read for any parent who has sent their kid to camp and for anyone who has gone to sleep away camp.
P.S. I love this book!
P.P.S. Buy it!
