2.0 out of 5 stars P3 International Telephone recorder, December 30, 2004
It seems like it has the right idea, but the adapter for the telephone jack in the wall didn't work, and the recorder shuts off after about 90 seconds, (you can't record calls longer then 90 seconds without manually restarting the machine). Overall, it's been a hassle so far, and I'm not happy with it. I'm hoping this is only specific to the machine I got, and am hoping the company I got it from will exchange it.

UPDATE: Only after a TON of hassle from the company (who did not want to honor their exchange policy) I finally was able to get a new machine. Which has now also broken. Don't buy this product...and buyer beware if you buy from this seller.

1.0 out of 5 stars Never worked properly, January 21, 2005
As stated by another reviewer, the device turns itself off after recording for a few seconds. E-mail to the company resulted in explaining the same info in the manual i.e., how to plug in, switch settings, etc. Concludes that if that doesn't work, it must be the drive belt. I fastened the Play-Record buttons down with rubber bands, and although it tries to turn itself off (clicking away), I have managed to record conversations. Sometimes I find it taping when nothing is going on. Too much of a hassle to send back, I guess I'll keep it while I look for a more reliable machine.

1.0 out of 5 stars worthless for intended purpose, March 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: P3 INTERNATIONAL Telephone Recorder - 8Hour and Multiline (Electronics)
I bought two of these thinking that since they were simple cassette recorders they should work OK. They both shut off when in the record mode without coming to the end of the tape because the "end of tape" auto shut off operates. I have had them for over a year and during the year the manufacturer gave me several tips on how to get them to operate properly but none of them helped. I used to be a electronic designer and an electronic repair technician for consumer electronic equipment and I feel that for both of these units they must have design defects. The manufacturer refuses to repair them since the short warranty period is over. I feel they should have in my case since I have two units in hand both have the exact same problems from day one and they are not related to any "wear and tear" on the product. I normally do not write any reviews but since I am so insulted by the manufacturer I have written this one.
