P3 Kill a Watt a killer,

I purchased two of these products to help me get a handle on my energy consumption. I was amazed to learn how much power my desktop PCs comnsumed. I used to keep them powered up 24x7. After monitoring their power usage, and doing the math, I now have a new rule in the house; Turn off the PCs when not in use.It was interesting to see how much my flat screen TVs consumed. With all of this hype about them being energy hogs I wanted to learn myself. Well, they did not consume much electricity at all. For the time we have them on they only cost us around $2 a month in electricity. In fact why would anyone care about how much they cost, my cable bill is as high as my electric bill.......Go figure. I am beginning to believe the cable bill is not worth the money. Let's say these devices put things into perspective. My only problem with these devices is being powered by the wall power. If you have a power interruption or once you unplug the device you lose the data collected. It would be better if the devices had a battery that charged the data stored.

This product is actually fun to use! I like seeing what kind of energy usage I'm getting from different products. The 'Bonus Liberator Cord' is a welcome addition. Without it, the LCD screen can be difficult to read. Highly Recommended!
