Waste of Money!,

This review is from: P3 International P7880 LED Electronic Bug Trap (Lawn & Patio)
Complete and utter waste of money. Mosquitos fly right by it. I bought three of them, and did not catch a single mosquito. They were running rampant inside my house. Don't buy this product.

I haven't had this trap long so can't attest to it's durability, but it catches plenty of fungus gnats each night, and that's what I got it for.

This has been working for me for many months in our apartment. I had two, but dropped one on the floor and the blade broke, so I'm ordering another. I had reviewed this a while back, but it is on an Amazon page for another seller, which no longer sells it, so it doesn't appear when you search.Anyway, perhaps the mosquitos are dumber here in DC than eleswhere, but eventually they end up in or around the trap, dead. Most of the mosquitos actually don't die in the trap's net basket, but are battered by the fan blade and end up laying in front of or behind the traps (they get knocked out through vents in the back, I think). So if at first you don't not think it's working, put the trap on white sheet of paper and you'll find them. We keep them running at night, when the mosquitos are actively looking for us, and perhaps that's when the traps work best -- in the dark with those enticing blue led lights.

Living in North Texas, we get our share of the pesky mosquitos in and outside the home. It's the ones that bite my 10 month old while sleeping that really bother me so I have this set up in her room. She still is getting bitten and thus far I have yet to find a dead mosquito in or near the LED device..... jury is still out but for now, wishful thinking is buoying my confidence.

Well I bought this bug trap for exactly one purpose, to catch a few bugs in an often unused basement. It's been on straight for nearly 3 months now and I've unintentionally discovered a bigger benefit of the device --- seems that consistent (but minor) airflow in that room has resolved all issues with odor -- as the room rarely was occupied. Also nice night light.

This device did trap and kill some of the little fruit flies that plagued my family room. But the sticky fly paper did a better job without the light and noise.

Bug zappers,
This review is from: P3 International P7880 LED Electronic Bug Trap (Lawn & Patio)
You dont buy bug zappers for mosquitos because their attracted to carbon dioxide only, bug zappers are for flys & gnats. Buy a mosquito magnet for mosquitoes & sand flys.

I bought this trap to deal with a fungal gnat problem in the office. Unfortunately, the light lure is not very effective in space with ceiling lights every six feet and monitors in every cube. It has captured two gnats in about 6 weeks, one of which made a satisfying thunk sound when it hit the fan blade. To its credit, the fan is very quiet and it looks nice on my desk.
