Product Description

Amazon.com Review

The P3 International P7901 Molechaser makes moles scram by emitting a penetrating sound that sets the rodents' sensitive hearing on edge. Operating in a circular pattern of 100 feet, the Molechaser also chases off ground squirrels, shrews, voles, pocket mice, and gophers. It won't harm the rodents or your earthworms or your pets; it won't even harm your lawnmower, because you can bury it flush with the ground. At 1-3/4 inches in diameter and 15 inches long, the high impact ABS plastic Molechaser doesn't require an excavation of your garden. Plus, you can replace the four D-cell batteries--approximately once every 4 to 6 months--without digging it up. The Molechaser gives off 300 Hz of sound at 15-second intervals and works best in unobstructed, moist clay soil. If soil is dry, sandy, or peat soil, you may need a couple of Molechasers to get rid of moles for good. --Emily Bedard

1.0 out of 5 stars not worth it, August 23, 2001
This review is from: P3 International P7901 Mole Chaser (Lawn & Patio)
after over a month of using the molechaser, I still have dirt piles popping up all over my yard. Some of these are only 6 feet away from where I placed the device.

I followed the instructions, shelled out money for 4 D-cell batteries, and still no luck. I think one of the neighborhood cats got to one of the moles -- my dog carried it to the back door like it was some sort of prize that she wanted to share with me. Alas, the dirt piles still dot the landscape of my mole infested lawn.

My advice would be to save your money and buy a couple gallons of milk instead -- to entice your neighborhood cats to patrol your lawn and garden.

This review is from: P3 International P7901 Mole Chaser (Lawn & Patio)
The product documentation claims it takes several days for the sound emitted from the Mole Chaser to chase the buggers away....well 21 days and counting and Mr. Mole is still dinimg on my garden. Take my advise, buy the poison and save yourself from wasting money on the Molechaser!

5.0 out of 5 stars Goodbye moles, June 27, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Been using these things for about ten years. Moved to a new house; left my old ones at the previous house and just installed these. They work as advertised. In the first couple of weeks the moles may burrow right up to them to find out what is making all of the racket. Once they figure out that the sound isn't going away, they go away. No kidding. BTW, you (or your pets) don't hear the racket.
