Awful - cheap, volume doesn't go very high, eject takes forever and makes horrible scrunching sound every time you close it no matter how slowly, buttons depress so hard I had to use my thumb, if you don't push down hard and hold buttons the tape tries to move but doesn't, the machine keeps stopping in the middle of playback, had to keep resetting every time I unplugged it (and the reset button on the bottom of the machine, need a pointed pen or something to push it) - enough?! Amazon nicely took it back, offered me refund or replacement - I need a recorder for work, so am desparate and opted for the replacement. Buttons on new one work quite a bit better and it doesn't keep shutting off during playback, eject process not quite so bad - BUT, it's still cheaply made and doesn't work nearly as smoothly as my 15-year-old Radio Shack recorder. So don't buy this unless you can't find another (I couldn't - radio shack doesn't have similar product anymore).

Item was listed as new. Clearly was not new because tape already had peoples voices recorded. tape recorder would not even turn on. cassette door was broken. seller is not very flexible. no owners manual in box. glass/plastic in door was out of place. working on a refund or replacement.

it says you can record the call duration but it isn`t. only if you record the call you can have the dialed number, time and date, but if the tape stops, the id recording stops to.
