PROS:
This is an excellent motherboard for the feature set and where it is priced. I went this over the micro-atx models since I wanted to have additional expansion slots for adding any PCI/PCIe cards in the future. I also wanted a mobo which had 4 x SATA 6Gbps ports and at an affordable price :)

The higher models Deluxe, Pro, WS Revolution - just have extra LAN ports, support SLI/crossfire extras and may be extra PCIe x16 slots - I wasn't keen on any of these features. For me BT was a good addition though :)

I went with a kinda strange RAM configuration that many people usually dont go with - 2 x 4GB + 2 x 2 GB since I was on a tight budget but also wanted to run VMs. Many suggested it will have issues with dual channel configuration - few though suggested it would work if the DIMMs are placed in the correct slots - which indeed work ;) If anyone is gonna try a similar setup I can guarantee GSkill Ripjaws X series DDR3 1600 2x4GB + 2x2GB would work for sure. The XMP profile works fine for DDR3 1600Mhz as well.

The Q-connector is a nice addition as well for front panel and USB header. The connectors on the mobo are placed at the right spots IMO. I had a mid-tower ATX case with a bottom mounted Corsair TX650V2 PSU - the PSU cables were luckily lengthy enough to run around in the gap behind the Hard disk bays in my Antec 300 Illusion case.

There is an extra 2-port USB and eSATA bracket. eSATA this way is a nice addition rather than a dedicated eSATA port on the board itself. I for one dont use eSATA and dont wanna compromise one of my SATA III ports for an eSATA, hence I plugged this into one of the Intel P67 chipset's SATAII ports. Dont forget to enable hotplug for this port in the EFI/BIOS.

Needed a motherboard that can handle gaming. All the online reviews suggested that using a P67 based chipset. I have always enjoyed ASUS branded products especially their motherboards. Not much to say, it just works. If you're looking to build an AWESOME gaming rig this would be the way to go. The board is well labeled and easy to access the ports. Configuration is a no brainer. Extremely pleased with this product.

Other components that compliment my rig: Radeon 6750 1GB DDR5, 8GB DDR3, 120GB SSD, Corsair 600T case, Core i5 2500K and Corsair H50

This motherboard is very well made. Solid, with no "oops" wires on the back. (You know, the post production leads that jumper two points)

The uEFI setup is definitely a change to any old school PC user, but it's very easy to work with.

Pros:
Runs snow leopard easily, highly compatible.

Cons:
I can't really think of any. I don't really like that the sata ports are at a right angle, but I think many people prefer them to be.
I had to give up two SATA ports because I can't stand the few extra seconds the Marvell controller adds to POST. If it bothers you as much as it did me, just don't use the two gray ports, and disable the marvell controller in uEFI.

I purchased this product about 6 months ago, i am only now writing a review to make absolutely certain i had zero issues with this product. i have had no ram errors, or anything of the kind, this motherboard is first rate quality in fact, it's the best motherboard i have ever owned. it has tons of pci slots and express, etc. like 6 usb 2.0 ports and like 2 usb 3.0 ports coupled with a usb hub i'll always have room for addons lol. Again, I've had zero issues with this motherboard will definitely buy ASUS again.

I wish it would have been expressed better that the mobo doesn't do SLI just Crossfire. So here I am with a GTX 580 thinking I could upgrade later but oh well. Maybe I'll swith to the Radeon when they get to the 7000 series.

First off, I am not a computer geek. My partner convinced me to build a desktop due to my laptop crashing twice in a month. If you had told me say, a year ago, that I would be building a computer the summer of 2011, I'd have told you to lay off the crack pipe and get serious. Me? Build a computer? Don't make me laugh!

With the support of my much-more experienced partner, I designed a system that included this motherboard. I have to say that I was pretty annoyed at how little documentation accompanied some of my components (LG - I AM LOOKING AT YOU - you send out DVD drives without so much as a packing slip?). But not ASUS. The comprehensive manual that came with the motherboard went a long way towards helping me understand how to put my system together. IMHO, ASUS made this process as clear and understandable as possible. Thank you ASUS!

I bought this motherboard back when it 1st came out. There was a problem with some sata ports so i got it exchanged back in about 2011 or 2012. I started having issues with the overclocking on the memory then I had 2 sata ports go out. now im getting posting problems with the cpu so watch out.
