Designed for cats and kittens eight weeks of age or older, this easy-to-apply liquid provides long-lasting, effective control against fleas, ticks, and chewing lice. The fast-acting remedy kills 98 to 100 percent of adult fleas within 24 hours, before they lay eggs, plus it works on contact, which means fleas do not have to bite to be killed. Re-infesting fleas are killed within 24 hours, and ticks are killed within 48 hours, minimizing the risk of disease transmission. Easy to use, simply apply contents of the applicator through the animal's fur to the skin level between the shoulder blades. One applicator kills adult fleas for up to six weeks and kills ticks for at least one month. Achieve maximum protection with monthly applications, all year round, but be sure not to apply twice within 30 days. Each packet includes six topical applications for six months of protection.

Directions for use
To kill fleas, all stages of brown dog ticks, American dog ticks, lone star ticks, and deer ticks (which may carry Lyme disease), as well as chewing lice, apply to cats and kittens (8 weeks or older) as follows: Remove applicator from child-resistant package. Hold applicator upright and snap applicator tip away from face and body. Place applicator tip through animal's fur to the skin level between the shoulder blades. Squeeze applicator, applying entire contents in a single spot to the animal's skin. Avoid superficial application to the animal's fur. Avoid contact with treated area until dry. Only one applicator per treatment is needed. Do not reapply Frontline for 30 days.

Frontline Top Spot for Cats can also be used for the treatment and control of flea, tick, and chewing lice infestations on breeding, pregnant, and lactating queens.

It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not allow children to apply product. To prevent harm to you and your pet, read the entire label and directions before each use. Follow all directions and precautionary statements carefully. Use on cats only. Do not use on rabbits. Do not use on other animals.

In my household of several cats, many of whom enjoy going outdoors (and bringing occasional things inside, including fleas), we need something to keep the pests (the fleas, not the cats) under control. Frontline is one of the better products available for this purpose.

I've tried other solutions - flea collars, products from other sources, and have only found one other item that matches the Frontline effectiveness for eliminating fleas. Within a day of the first use, the cats had stopped scratching and licking incessantly at their fleas. One of my cats is particularly allergic to fleas, and breaks out with sores at the flea bites - for him, Frontline is nothing short of a miracle.

I have known cats to have serious reactions to the flea drops from some companies. My cats have had absolutely no bad reactions to the Frontline applications.

This is a product I will definitely buy again. My cats give this a big 16 paw salute (four cats, four paws each, you get the drift).

it works and it doesn't kill my cats (so far). what else can you say about poison that you pour on your beloved pets and they lick off? UGH!

still, Amazon's price is low and they've stopped scratching themselves, so I guess I'm ok with it . . .

I have two cats, one short haired kitten and one long haired adult. Within a day of applying Frontline Top Spot, they both were shed of their flea infestations, and have been flea-free since. Don't bother wasting time and money on other, less effective, cheap products; it'll save you in the long run to just buy Frontline up front.
