These 13 oz. mugs are manufactured by Libbey and treated by Santanoni's exclusive HercuGlass process. The HercuGlass process strengthens glassware the same way as Fighter Aircraft windshields, iPHONE glass covers and EpiPen bee sting antidote cartridges. Depending on the glass design and thickness, our glassware can withstand bangs, drops on the floor, etc. They are not unbreakable, but they are the strongest glass products you can buy and will withstand abuse that would cause similar glassware to fracture. OUR GUARANTEE: CAUTION should ALWAYS be used when filling a glass or ceramic mug with hot drinks, but HercuGlass-treated mugs and jars can be used for coffee, etc. Our guarantee is that if, during the first 6 months after purchase a mug breaks during filling (Thermal Shock Fracture) we will replace the mug free.) This is for home use only. If you are buying the mugs for food service please contact Santanoni for our "Commercial Guarantee". In all cases we require that the broken mug(s) be returned so we can verify a thermal fracture, AND so we can study the fracture. This allows us to further improve our products and avoid fractures in the future.

Love using these mugs. I have tipped one over into our cast iron sink and it didn't even chip!! Just love using glass mugs for my continuous consumption of coffee.

I bought these for the kids to use because they are "almost unbreakable" and have a handle for easy drinking. My 16-month old and 3-yr old use them every meal. Light enough for the kids, yet not so light that they get tipped easily like a plastic cup. They are also easy to clean, unlike other glass mugs we've had that seem to have random divets or an indentation at the handle where residue would always seem to stick. They are sturdy with nicely rounded edges and seem well made. Great buy for the price.

I realize for a few dollars more, I could have purchased a dozen standard glass coffee mugs. But we really didn't need that many, and I wanted a good quality product - And that is what these are.
They are a nice size and have a big handle I can get my fingers into. However, there is a seam that runs down the handle that does tend to imprint into my fingers. We have dozens of other Ceramic cups we would like to replace with 'Lead Free' glass cups. We plan on purchasing more of these high-strength cups sets. I have not made an attempt to contest their unbreakable integrity, but they have withstood my everyday use and abuse.
