This pan gets used several times a day for preparing meals and snacks. Non-sticks don't last forever so I have learned to keep checking the market for the latest and greatest when I wear out a non-stick. I sought this one out after reading a good recommendation in Cook's Illustrated and was not disappointed. The pan is a little deeper than others I've had which seems to make it more versatile. But the sides aren't too high. Omelets still slip out easily. It heats quickly and evenly. Cleaning is simple. The handle is cushioned and easy on the hand. I hang my pots from hooks, and the cushioned handle means the hole in the handle is a little smaller than the holes in my other pans I hang, but I can still hang it, just a little more carefully. For a non-stick that gets heavy use, it is holding up very well after 5 months. I would not only buy it again, I wish I could find it in a 12-inch version.

An excellent all-purpose fry pan and a good value for the price. Comfortable to handle, and a nice weight without being too heavy to handle easily. T-Fal fry pans sold in the "big-box" stores don't seem to have the same sturdy "feel" as this one. Not sure if a professional restaurant chef would use it - but for home use I would recommend it without hesitation. The rim of the pan is not non-stick, so every once in a while some food might stick to the rim. Minor inconvenience.

This is a great buy. The non-stick surface is tough and slick. The steel bottom is thicker than other pans in its class - ensuring even heating. The silicone handle is very comfortable and can be put directly in a medium heat oven. A caution note: the TFal "Pro" line is different from the "Professional" line - get the Professional line.

America's Test Kitchen tested this and ranked it tops. I can see why. After months of use, it isn't warped, isn't scratched, and works like a champ in every respect. Food TASTES better out of this pan. How they achieved this magic, I have no idea, but it is AWESOME. Buy it - if you can find it.

Bought this skillet after seeing the review of skillets on America's Test Kitchen and have been thrilled with every use. Didn't expect the improvement in sauteed sole, for one thing. Cleanup is a breeze also. Great product.

This pan was recommended to me by an obsessive chef and I have to say it is the best nonstick pan I have ever used. You won't be disappointed!

Purchased based on Cooks Illustrated review. Best non-stick ever owned. Used almost daily and sometimes more often. It shows no wear after six months. This is NOT the T-Fal found in discount stores like Walmart and Target. I could not find this in any store and had to order online by item number.

I have this pan in three different sizes. I enjoy cooking with my Stainless Steel All Clad pans but for a non-stick option this is a better choice. The interior surface is very durable and remains slick after many uses and resists scratching. I purchased a large commercial Fry Pan from a restaurant supply store (Nordic??). The non-stick surface lost it's slick finish very rapidly by comparison.

Also the heft of this pan is much better than most, especially the cheaper non-stick. I highly recommend this pan to anyone.

This product was for my mom... she loves this product and intends to buy other sizes.

She does state that the pan needs to be washed when it is still warm otherwise food can stick and the pan can be difficult to wash.

I originally bought this pan due to the 'best' rating at Cook's Illustrated magazine. I already own the 8" size, and bought this one because of the good performance of the smaller pan. I cook every day, and use this pan probably 3-5 times a week.

This pan is much better than the Calphalon Unison pan I had. The Calphalon is a lot more expensive (I think about $100), and only lasted me 2 months before the surface started degrading. I sent it back and got it replaced, but haven't used it because the T-Fal is so much better.

The most important thing about a nonstick pan is the quality of the nonstick coating. So, although the Calphalon looks more expensive (thicker pan with a nice heavy cast handle), when the coating fails all that luxury is useless. The coating on the T-Fal has been perfect after 6 months use without any signs of degradation.

The red center is a pretty neat feature, as it is a simple temperature indicator. The higher end T-Fal pans (like this one) have a molded-in stainless disk in the bottom. You'll find some of the cheaper T-Fals are sold in grocery stores, but they don't have the stainless disk.
