5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT set for GREAT price! August 6, 2014
By CNealS
Format:Kindle Edition
This set of books is an excellent value. I'm reading through the set now and am blown away by how good they all are. If you love intriguing stories, nail-biting stories, fascinating stories, stories that keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages, then this is the set for you. I especially enjoyed INTO YOU by Riley J. Ford because it was a funny, unique paranormal with a unique premise that kept me guessing. Every book that I've read so far in this set has been good, though, and I still can't believe the ENTIRE collection of all 20 books was only 99 cents! That's practically free. You can't go wrong with such a deal, especially when you get so many great reads by some extremely talented authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Smell of this Bacon ain't Troubling at All August 8, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'll preface this review by stating that I've only read snippets of the books inside. Additionally, it is rather difficult to properly review an entire set instead of just one or two books, but I'll do my best.

"Two days before our house blew up; I woke to the troubling smell of bacon."

This is the first line in this set of twenty books by twenty very talented authors. PANDORA isn't your ordinary box-set. It isn't all part of one series, it isn't all written by one author, and heck, the books aren't even in the same genre. While this could cause the set to feel disjointed, it also feels liberating. With a set of twenty books, there is the risk of feeling burnt-out. Too many books in a similar vein could lead to reader fatigue. Here, however, the books are all wildly different with only a supernatural element to bind them. The voices are unique, the characters interesting, and the plots intriguing.

I'd been meaning to pick up several books in this set for a while, but I couldn't delay any longer once this set had been released. The whole thing is only a dollar, which is half the price of a cup of coffee. And really, there are only a few things better than a cup of coffee:

1) A book
2) 20 books

I do have to say, however, that I am a bit sad that the covers didn't manage to get copied over, whether for copyright reasons or otherwise. The entire series comes in one file, and while the table-of-contents works well to transition between the books, it would have been nice to have the individual covers displayed before the books themselves to really set them apart from each other. For $0.99, however, this is a completely understandable omission.

To give this set anything under five stars feels criminal. The books are well-edited from what I can tell, and it provides a fantastic introduction to writers I probably wouldn't have checked out otherwise. You absolutely owe it to yourself to get this while you can.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable Deal for Awesome Reads August 5, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It’s kind of difficult to post a review for a box set of 20 novels giving all the works any kind of justice. I’ve read three of these novels so far: “Cleopatra’s Needle” by Carole Lanham, “Her Sweetest Downfall” by Rebecca Hamilton, and “A Prescription for Delirium” by Noree Cosper. I posted 5 star reviews for each of them which you can see under the individual item listings in Amazon. Just those three works alone make this set the bargain of the century. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the set. This is high quality work at a ridiculous bargain. I highly recommend it based on the strength of those works alone. They are tip top!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Anthology August 5, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This review is for Summoned...but I will update accordingly as I finish each NOVEL in this anthology. That's right, you get NOVELS! Not short stories.

The contents on the pages made me want to move in and live in the author’s mind. Rainy Kaye has written a fascinating and unique world where genies exist, but they certainly aren’t like what you see in the movies or in children’s tales. A kid’s book, this ain’t. ;)
I will admit that Dimitri took a little getting used to. The book opens with him kidnapping someone and admitting that MURDER is easier to do than a kidnapping. What kind of human thinks that like?!? He’s a complicated and multi-faceted character, and a pleasure to read about. He’s a Djinn, and the fairy tales you read as a child didn’t prepare you for this adventure. Poor Dimitri has to put up with so much…a master who summons him at every whim, forcing him to commit atrocious acts of violence and murder. I loved hating Sylvia and Karl, the puppet masters holding Dimitri’s strings, so to speak. At first, the wishes seem random, but there’s a mystery to solve here, and I relished figuring out what was going on at the same time Dimitri did.
Rainy Kaye gives the reader just enough information to make you think you know what’s going to happen, then she pulls the rug out from under your feet with plot twists that make you go “WHOA!” but in a good way. I found myself reading until late to find out what was going to happen next because I was so invested in the story.
I was very sad when I read the last page because I knew I’d have to wait for the next book. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Dimitri.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pandora August 5, 2014
By S211n3
Format:Kindle Edition
I've read Invisible by Author DelSheree Gladden from Pandora box set and here is my review for the book <3.
Invisible is the first installment in The Aerling Series and it is an awesome series. Once you read Invisible you can't wait to read Intangible.
Mason is invisible and he is not imaginary. Only Olivia is able to see him. They met when both were five years old. Olivia found Mason sitting on her porch crying (feels sad for him, I can picture his sad adorable face). She takes him in and asks her parents, they approve obviously thinking he is imaginary. But after some incidents they accepts him with open arms.
A new girl Robin stumbles upon them and introduces herself to both of them, yes both of them. She can see Mason, which leave both of them stunned. Mason is happy someone besides his family can see him. On other hand Olivia is not ready to believe the new girl. They both want answers, but they were not prepared to dive head first into the world of Aerlings, Caretakers, Escorts and dangerous Sentinels who are now after Mason for his life.
Sentinel attacks, searching for answers which are hard to find with Mason having nightmares which could be true, their world is turned is upside down.
The story is great, I'm glad I stumbled upon it and fell, don't worry not hurt. If you haven't read, you are missing out.
A great, awesome, intriguing, thrilling and a must read.
Looking forward to read other books in the set.
